Instrument Isolation (Funky Worm) - The Fast Way
YouTube via Photosounder
"http://photosounder.com
Using the new "road roller" (smart erase) tool combined with the harmonics modifier and the magnet modifier, I was able to isolate the 24 second long synth line at the end of Ohio Player's Funky Worm in about one minute. Back in March 2009 I tried the same thing in Photoshop and it took me about ten hours!
The result isn't completely clean but what is show here is the bulk of the work, for a better result only a bit more cleaning would be necessary. All the work done in this video is shown in real time, only the synthesis parts were shortened."

29:42 minute version of this 9:58 video previously posted.
"Eurorack modular synthesizer generating a random selection of drones. The main sound is a Cwejman VCO-2RM sine ring modded with a Blacet Miniwave. The "percussion" part is the same audio further ring modded with a PlanB M15 sine wave, or a Cwejman VCO-6 ring modded with a Doepfer A-117 (selected by a Doepfer A-134-2 crossfader at random) then passing through the Makenoise QMMG low pass gate. The pitch control of all the VCOs is shared and selected via Doepfer A-148 sample and hold"

Kawai K4 Demo 1
YouTube via undrervapen
"Short video I made of me and a Kawai K4. all sounds are Kawai K4 presets, strait out the box. Many sounds I am playing trough the Kawai K4's internal DCF filter. Drums and effects are all factory Kawai K4 sounds and effects. The Kawai is an early 80's digital synthesizer that makes some nice clean sounds. The synth was known for its ease of use in programing. Fully midi in/out/thru with addition card input for more sound programing. The soft pads and smooth leads are my favorite for this syth."
Update via Doug in the comments: "the K4 was released around 1989. Definitely wasn't around in 1984 as the video claims.
Perhaps the video maker has confused the K4 with the SX-240, which was released in 1984."

"What kind of boy you're looking for girl" - in Billund Skulpturpark
YouTube via organfairy. It's organfairy Friday time.
"Considering the fact that I have lived in Billund for more than eight years I have made surprisingly few videos on locations within city limits.
But this time I am taking a little stroll in the nearby sculpture park - an outdoor collection of modern sculptures of steel and stone placed between Legoland and the local shopping centre.
Off course I am only pretending to be playing this time. The melody was something I recorded in the year 2000 on Yamaha HE-8 and Technics SX-C600 organs, Boss DR-220 drum sequencer, and the little Casio SA-1."

EMS Synthi VCS3 TKS Sequencer Keyboard

"The TKS is the same type of sequencer as the KS that you would find in the Synthi suitcase. This one is a very rare version that EMS manufactured to look nice next to a VCS3mk2. It is mounted in a teak-type Danish looking cabinet, with white and black keys and will work with the Synthi or the VCS3 mk2. The power supplies on the VCS3 mk1 cannot power the TKS sufficiently. One can purchase (inexpensively) 2 different regulated power supplies and modify a VCS3 jack to power the TKS, if you own a VCS3 mk1."
