ROLAND JSQ-60 DCB SEQUENCER

via this auction
"Roland JSQ-60 sequencer for the Juno 60 or Jupiter 8 synthesizers. The JSQ-60 is an amazing sequencer with the ability to store up to a 2,000 note sequence, including patch changes. It even allows for either real-time or step wise recording. It also lets you overdub sequences to layer up full compositions. It has a built in metronome and even a midi/din interface that can sync up to Roland drum machines! With this sequencer, writing songs becomes a simple task as you can record sequences in seconds and then loop them and jam over them or tone tweak to find the perfect sound. The best thing to do is to record a cool sequence and use the Juno-60’s key transpose ability to change the key of the sequence in real time."

ROLAND JUNO-60 DEMO high quality sound ! Vintage analog synthesizer 1982

YouTube via AnalogAudio1
"The Roland Juno-60 is a classic six voice polyphonic analog synthesizer with RAM memories for 56 sounds. The sound architecture is rather basic, but it has an excellent sound and was used by many professionals like Eurythmics, Howard Jones, the Madonna producers, Paul Van Dyk and many more... it has the DCB interface - the predecessor of MIDI. With a DCB to MIDI interface it is very easy to integrate the instrument in a midi setup.

To my ears the JUNO-60 sounds far better than the very similar JUNO-106 (I had both). It has snappier envelopes and a fater chorus. However, sound is a matter of taste..."

Goldbaby The FATJUNO-6 and Fat H3500 Sample Sets

via Goldbaby
"The Juno-6 was the first in the Juno series of Synthesizers. Released in 1982 it has become a legend for its warm, full sound and lush analog chorus. Intially this synth was going to be part of Fatso Synths Vol 2. However it became obvious early on that this synth, through the UBK Fatso, deserved its own product... I'm proud to present The FatJuno-6!"
Regarding the H3500:
"I have sampled two patches from the H3500 through the UBK Fatso. It was necessary to do 4 round robin layers for each note sampled as the sound changes each time you hit a note. So the result is kind of organic, albeit in a electronic way..."
You can find both sets at the Goldbaby blog here.
