"The CMU-810 is a module similar to the SH-101, they share many functions and have a similar character, but the CMU has a bassier oscillator and a slightly sharper envelope, this is my opinion after playing with both units first hand. Both units use the CEM 3340 oscillator and the famous Roland IR309 filter... It's a perfect match to an analogue sequencer or as an expander to a SH-101 or just to use with a MIDI-CV as it's very compact!"

YouTube via thenervoussquirrel — April 26, 2010 — "This was made for Paddy Austin, who organises bicycle-powered club nights where all of the lights and sounds are generated by pedal power.
A magnet attached to the rear wheel passes a reed switch, which sends a pulse to an 8-stage sequencer mounted on the handlebars. Depending on the speed of the cyclist, the sequencer plays 8 tunable oscillators, and also controls a Coron DS-7 drum machine.
Paddy and Charlie sent me the video - thanks very much! Visit their website:
"The G2 Engine is a one-unit high 19” rack version of the G2. Perfect for studios and computer studio environments. It has the same processing power as in the G2 three-octave version, but doesn’t feature top-panel control buttons, microphone- and pedal input. Connect the G2 Engine via the USB port to the PC/Mac and do all your editing from the intuitive and elegant PC/Mac editor. As the G2 three octave version, the G2 Engine is expandable with a voice expansion board."

Here's a new one: John Mayer shields himself from the cameras with his MPC.
