"The revered Minimoog Model D. What can be said? Such a beautiful instrument. These were truly lovingly crafted pieces of art... The sound in according to some, incomparable to any other synthesizer. I love the intuitive layout. While it seems to be a simple and straightforward thing, there is alot of surprise and functionality hidden in the heart of this piece. This one came into the shop with some interesting things happening... The "glide" function was acting up, and the mod wheel and filter emphasis pots were toast."

YouTube via popitem — June 23, 2010 — "Some random adventure on my A100, this a 4 track piece, the main voltage modulation come from the maq 16/3, going to the black coffee and the kraftzwerg 3 osc routed separately , their main pitch are alternatively modulated by 4 different kind of lfo with the help of the 4way seq switch (at about 4 min modulation pot is set to zero), the kind of "woobling" bassline is the black coffee. On top of that their is some modulation here and there, 3 filters(mfb+plan-b m11 m12), ring mod and osc sync. /!\ Disclaimer : This is not a musical statement."

The synth is monphonic like the MoPho from Dave Smith. Tom O designed it to be almost identical to the version he had in the 1970's. There are two versions of the modern incarnation, a patchpoint module with lots of 3.5 cm jacks (eighth inch) for interfacing with analog modular equipment, and this version which allows use with computers and other midi equipped devices more readily. One note, the image of Tom Oberheim with his boxes is from AudioMidi's website. They handle the retail distribution of new SEMs in the US."
