KJX: Cathedral Fog
YouTube via FlametopFred | September 24, 2010
"The evening mist swirled around the trunks of the oaks as we walked out from their safety into the opening beside the cathedral. It was here that the robots ambushed the vampires. Phil was the first victim."
Note the custom keyboard with wood panel. Anyone ID it? Answer in the Update below.
KJX: Collins on the Banks of the Rutherford
FlametopFred | September 24, 2010
"Phil clambered out of his Ford pickup and stood on the banks of the Rutherford river. It was a nice spot."
Update via FlametopFred:
"The controller is one I built and is called a "Mininordessey"
Controller started as an M-Audio e49 Radium.
Which I then dismantled, cut-up and built a new wood case around.
If you google "Mininordessey" you can see the design and build photos.
A salute to both the Minimoog (obviously) as well as the Arp Oddyssy.
Nord Rack there on a hinged small rack.
Works like a charm!
My other primary MIDI controller is the Electone EL-40. Also works like a charm. 3 separate MIDI channels and MIDI sync for drum machines and so on. Very fun to play.
I am next working on a GX-1 style MIDI controller."

Korg MS 50 Modular Synthesizer

via this auction
"The Korg MS50 is the rarest synth of the Korg MS series. It is a fully modular synth not like the semimodular MS 20 and MS10 One of the coolest feature of the Korg MS 50 is its two VCO CV inputs with Hz/Volt and Oct/Volt standard. You do not need an extra converter for Yamaha and Korg Hz/Volt standard."

Ernst-Erik Bombe - Custom instruments from Estonia
via Taavi"A friend sent me pictures from an exhibition taking place in Narva - an Estonian city mostly inhabited by Russians. These instruments are made in soviet time by some local guy."
Update via Kana in the comments: "Ernst-Erik Bombe, who made these instruments around 1990-s, was working at a Norma toy factory and used pieces of the production- plastic suitcases, seatbelts, toys, badges. I took the pictures at Narva Hermann Castle, there is a competition of exhibitions from all over Estonia, but usually those instruments can be seen at
Estonian Theatre and Music Museum, Müürivahe 12, Tallinn."MINE DAIDENZIN - Mesotania
