"I have resampled my TR-707 and this time it is quite an extensive lot of samples. These have been recorded at 24 bit 48khz. Each of the drum sounds were sampled as a loop at 30BPM, and as one hits without accent, with accent one and with accent two on. There is also snare loops with varying flam settings. There is also bass drum loops with various shuffle settings for groove extraction. 71 files of TR-707 goodness in all"

"An musical analyze of Oxygene, track after track, to make a cover with 95% pure analog and 5% digital.
In this first part, I try to reproduce the rythm played in the original part 2 of JMJ's Oxygene, with the Korg MiniPops 7 ; here, I used a standalone free application called Rythmus by ElektroStudio.
Here, you can adjust the volume of each sounds, the pan, the tune, the volume and the global tempo ; 2 presets are used simultaneously : Beguin and Slow Rock.
It is very near from the original, isn't it ?
The second part will show you how to make all noises with Roland SH-101, Roland Juno-6, Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy and Small Stone Phase Shifter.
"After a 2 year hiatus, a new standalone BugCrusher design is available - the MicroCrusher (μCrusher).
This is similar to the previous BugCrusherMicro but with a few updates and a new presentation. Where before there was just a single Rate Reduction dial, there is now a Blend dial as well to increase the flexibility. Building methods mean that I can't now make stompable pedals, but I've included a Footswitch jack socket to allow hands-free use.
An initial batch is now available online and I aim to keep this design in production for the forseeable future - there should be semi-regular batches as I've been doing with the Weevil designs. There will be a further 15 units available within a month and then more around January time - so hopefully this alleviates the need for a mad stampede to the online store!

At this point I've also decided to put the two Weevil designs to sleep - the Board & Postcard Weevils have proved extremely fun and popular but I feel it is time to change things about a bit. The final batches of both designs are now online - once these are gone there will be no more! Over the last 2 years around 350 BoardWeevils have been born.
(I haven't yet got any new designs to fill the Weevil spaces.. Maybe something next year..)

The final batch (for a while at least) of the WOM Pro kits is online too - great for a Christmas present perhaps?
"Download HiFi @ --- http://nano-comp.heroku.com/160 This track is showcasing the power of Nanostudio on the iDevices. The original track was produced on a 2nd gen iPod Touch. All samples, synth patches and sequences were made entirely on the ipod. Please give a vote if you enjoy http://nano-comp.heroku.com/160"
via this auction "incredibly rare "Electronica" EQ from Russia, circa 1989.
As you can see, the unit is a beautiful, rarely seen little processor.
The sound, as you can imagine, is very warm; very "analogue". Due to age, some of the sliders are a little difficult to maneuver and can occasionally cause a little bit of distortion when moved. Other than that, the unit is in great working condition and is a joy to use in the studio/live.
Like most effects from Europe, the EQ uses a DIN style cable (like 5-pin MIDI). These are really easy to find online. I use a DIN>minijack with a 1/4" adapter and everything works fine.
You will need a European style adapter to plug the unit in, 220v/50hz."
