Update: "the Mind Control is not a Yamaha's product. Rewrote Yamaha's MIDI board and Yamaha Electone organ 3rd keyboard were used , but production was Fernandes, not Yamaha."

Emu Emulator II digital / analog sampling synthesizer & SD Upgrade Kit

"This is a stellar sampler, adding a lot of punch and color to samples in contrast to modern digital hardware/software due to its lower sample rate, unusual signal processing and SSM analog filters. The Emulator II is one of the most iconic samplers ever, possibly the best-known sampling keyboard and has been featured on countless hit records.

This auction also includes a second 5.25" DS/DD disk drive, bringing the total number of disk drives to 3. Disks for booting into OS 3.1 are included as are a bunch of new-old-stock DS/DD 3.5" floppies so you can start sampling as soon as it arrives! I formatted and tested a couple disks today (Feb 13th) and they work perfectly. Also included are a folder of old 5.25" sound floppies that would require updating to use when the Emulator is booted into OS 3.1; to do so, you need one of the 5.25" drives installed into the drive 2/bottom slot.

organfairy's first DIY synthesizer upgrade

"I made my first complete DIY synthesizer in 1997 when I was a student. I had only just been introduced to the internet so the few things I knew about synthesizers came from old books at the local library - you know, the building with books in it. And I combined that with knowledge I had gained from fixing my then only "real" synthesizer - the Roland SH-2000. I also had some electronic books from engineering school. But they didn't contain information on how to build a synthesizer.

I decided that it was time to improve the design a little. There are some flaws that I couldn't avoid when I made it because I didn't knew then what I know now. But at the same time I want to keep it as it is - you could call it sentimental value.

So I found a compromise where I keep most of the original design but improve the things that annoys me.

The music in this video is something I made in 1998. I used the Roland SH-2000 synthesizer, and CR-1000 drum machine, Bontempi KS-3400, Kawai MS-20, Yamaha PSS-12, and Casio SA-1 toy keyboards. The bass was played on a Casio SA-3 through a Boss OC-2 octaver pedal."
