SoftStep foot controller playing the Buchla 200e modular synthesizer

YouTube Uploaded by KeithMcMillen on Mar 14, 2011

"Keith McMillen Instrument's SoftStep controlling a Buchla 200e modular synthesizer.

The SoftStep is a great addition to a MIDI-capable modular synthesizer setup by allowing you to easily and accurately adjust parameters with your feet.

In this video, all SoftStep keys are set to Y-axis (up and down) tilt control. SoftStep's MIDI expander is sending CC data to the Buchla's MIDI-CV module."

"Live Launchpad Jam using Rekkerd samples, my own samples and Jack Kerouac. Quantisation: 1/16. There are some mistakes in it unfortunatly, but what the heck..

Thanks for watching and listening!

Xplorer - the ultimate Oberheim Xpander programmer

"The GUI is almost finished. Here’s a screen shot so you can get the main idea. The size is a bit bigger than the first prototype, to be easier to handle on touch screens. As knob colors are a matter of taste, the end user will be able to choose them in the settings. See xplorer.programmer.free.fr/ for details"
