JX3P DT200 tweaking by Alien Robot Dance

YouTube Uploaded by se7ense7 on Jun 13, 2011

"Another clip of some tweaking on the PG200 clone from DTronics. The DT200 is made especially for the Roland JX3P and MKS-30 synthesizers.

The JX3P is a really good sounding analog DCO synth from 1983. The programmer makes it a little nit easier to program, but you don't really need it as it's - althoug it's a little tedious - possible to edit every paramtere from the front panel - even while running the internal sequencer."

"Pailo again.

This one is as much modulation as possible. AM, FM, LFO, ULFO. 5 VCO's rock this patch with 2 filters and a waveshaper. I will let you check it out. Wanted to let everyone see the mixing power of the new 4MS module. It is insane, a mixer, an AM modulation source, 4VCA's, a live tool for making breaks and parts, and I am sure there is more. It's crazy how it can also mix modulations for CV mixing too."

Faurè: Après un rêve (synthesized)

YouTube Uploaded by ScrollingMusic on Jun 12, 2011

"Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924): "Après un rêve" (No. 1) from Trois mélodies, Op. 7

One of Fauré's most popular pieces, "Après un rêve" is the first piece in his suite for voice and piano, Trois mélodies, which was composed between 1870 and 1878. According to Wikipedia, "In Après un rêve, a dream of romantic elopement with a lover, away from darkness, and towards an awakening light is described. However, the dreamer longs to return to the "mysterious night". The text of the poem is an anonymous Italian poem translated to French by Romain Bussine."

This synthesized rendition was created by our Matlab synthesier, which interpreted a MIDI file to create both the audio and the scrolling visualization. The mix for this piece was created by synthesizing the MIDI multiple times, played by different instruments we have programmed, and mixing the results together. It contains a flute-like vibrato-based timbre, along with guitar (one of our earliest instruments,) and a newly created "fuzz/distortion" sound."

Vintage Schulmerich Carillon Bells Synthesizer Keyboard

via this auction

"Keyboard from a Schulmerich Carillon Bells which was a type of early synthesizer. It is in an oak case which measures 17-1/2" by 12-1/2" by 6-3/4". There are two octaves or 25 keys. There is a contact switch for each key and some other electronic parts inside. I believe this dates from the 1940's. It is marked: A Product of Schulmerich Electronics Inc. Sellersville, Pa. Any mad scientists out there need the start of a cool project?..."

Update via daden in the comments: "it is not a kind ofg synthesizer it's a remote for the motors of the carillon hammers..."
