Giant Sine Wave on the Sun

This one in via timelord

"Greetings Matrix -- Thought you might like this one. cheers. -- The Doctor"

via SpaceWeather.com

"Imagine a sine wave 400,000 km long. Today, NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory is monitoring just such a structure. It's an enormous filament of magnetism slithering over the sun's northeastern limb"

The Harvestman - Stillson Hammer

via this auction
"Burst generator with six outputs. A manual button press (or external gate input) will start a "burst" of repeated gate events coming out of a selected range of outputs. Burst frequency (time between gate outputs), output span (from 1 to 6 outputs), and event count are all voltage controllable. The pattern of output transition is also selectable: normal forward sequential travel, pendulum (forward, then backward), and random patterns are available. There is also a bonus "threshold" mode that lights up a range of gate outputs in response to the magnitude of the main CV input."

Intellijel designs - FlipFlop

via this auction
"Features:
dual flipflop comprising a jk flip flop on top and a d flip flop below.
pushbutton for manual clock triggers.
all outputs buffered.
this is a versatile device useful for many functions including:
controlling sequencers.
pulse-controlled toggle switch.
pulse quantizing.
1-bit data storage (by clock or instant).
clock dividing (1:2 and 1:4) well into audio rates (creates sub octave pulse waves)."

The Harvestman – Tyme Sefari + SOT

via this auction
"The Tyme Sefari allows to record audio signals into its internal RAM and to play it back, just as a sampler. But using the feedback control, the loop markers and the mix control with corresponding output you can also create wild delay effects. Or you can use it as an audio buffer. Or as an A-D-A converter to "digitalize" your audio signal
Another comlpex and unique digital module with analog CV control by The Harvestman that invites for "hands-on" playing due to the amount of controls.

Technical details:
RAM based recording of minimum 2 seconds audio material at maximal loop length. 8 bit microcntroller with 32kB SRAM (no delay chip!)
The sample frequency control affects playback speed and transposition of the sample. The whole sample is being looped automatically unless you flip the "loop" switch. Then you can shorten the loop with the start- and end-point marker controls (if the start point is behind the end point, interesting digital side-effects happen). Also the playback direction can be changed with the switches. All those parameters can also be remote controlled by CV, gate and switch signals! The MIX output with according dry/wet control and the positive/negative feedback allow for delay effects with different timbres.

Inputs and outputs:
AUDIO:Audio In, Mix out, Delay out. CV: Loop Start In, Loop End In, Sampling Frequency In switch-CV-inputs: Record, Play, Loop, Direction

Measures and weight:
3U eurorack module / width: 15HP / depth (from back of faceplate) 44mm / current draw max. 80mA / weight ca.230g

A Sound Of Thunder

Overview:
A Sound Of Thunder is an expansion module for the Tyme Sefari which produces alterations of the recorded audio signal.

Technical details:
The module has eight switches which short or modify some connections and the signal flow inside the Tyme Sefari - a process known "circuit bending".

Inputs and outputs:
none. Only a ribbon cable for connecting to the Tyme Sefari

Measures and weight:
3U eurorack module / width: 3HP / depth (from back of faceplate) ca. 15mm / current draw: none, but the circuit bending can make the TymeSefari draw up to 60mA more / weight ca.40g"

Cwejman D-LFO Dual-Multi-LFO

via this auction
"Two identical, flexible LFOs with very innovative synch possiblities and an enormous frequency range. The cherry on top is the amplitude- and ring modulation between the LFOs. An interesting tool for generating extraordinary waveforms and also very suitable for those somewhat different FM sounds.

Technical details:
Each LFO is voltage controllable, re-triggerable and provides you with seven waveforms – two different sample & holds, sine, triangle, falling and rising sawtooth and square. There´s a swithc for two frequency ranges: 40s-0.2s und 0.4s-2ms duration per cycle, this means this LFOs go up to 20 kHz and can be also used as VCOs! The RM/AM outputs ring modulated or amplitude modulated signal of the LFOs and thus creates one-of-a-kind modulations. The second LFO can be synced by the first; the sync-trip-point which can be set manually or by a CV defines at which point of the amplitude the synchronisation happens. An extraordinary feature! Additionally each LFO has external trigger AND gate inputs for re-triggering... very cool.

Inputs and outputs:
Audio-In: 1 x 3,5mm jack (RM-/AM-In) / Audio-Out: 3 x 3,5mm jack / CV-In: 7 x 3,5mm jack.

Measures and weight:
Module for 3RU system / width 14HP / depth incl. knobs about 40mm / power consumption: 75mA / weight: 150g"

The Harvestman – Zorlon Cannon

via this auction
"Overview:
Voltage-controlled pseudorandom pulse and pitched noise generator.
The design of this module was inspired by the logically economical and timbrally memorable sound generation method of Atari's 8-bit computers, also found on their 2600 and 5200 series video game systems.
The upper section is a clock generator with four pseudo-random gate outputs that are derived for mthe master clock, which is perfect for random triggering of envelopes etc. The bottom section is a generator of tunable digital noise with different timbres, suitable for noise melodies. Or use it as a crunchy digital oscillator.

Technical details:
upper section: Manual and Voltage Controlled master clock frequency and seed value (periodicity). Gate voltage levels: off = 0V, on = +12V bottom section: The four parallel audio outputs operate with similar spectral behavior and a much-improved frequency resolution. This section of the module offers several different flavors of pitched audio noise with varying degrees of periodicity. Toggle switches are available for changing the behavior of each output, from more noisy behavior to a pure square wave. Manual and voltage control of the audio frequency is available.
+/-12V Doepfer-style power connector 5V power supply encouraged. Onboard regulator available otherwise, 5V power source selectable by jumper.

Inputs and outputs:
upper section: Clock output, 4x random pulse outputs, Frequency CV input, periodicity CV input
bottom section: 4x pitched noise outputs (4, 5, 17, and 9 bit sequences), audio frequency CV input

Measures and weight:
3U eurorack module / width: 11HP (yes, eleven!) / depth (from back of faceplate) 33mm / current draw: ?? / weight ca.170g"

The title refers to the lack of delay here, hence the "dry insect" of the title. Still no electricity here, unfortunately. Please listen with headphones."
