The main idea behind ParamDrum is to have a fun and fast way of not only prototyping beats, but of creating variations that can be saved and recalled either in live performance or recorded and arranged into the backbone of a track.
You can download a PDF that explains the MIDI controller mappings and other details at http://drop.io/paramdrum/asset/paramdrum-0-4-pdf"
Lainhart NYC Performances October 20 and 23

"On Thursday, October 20 at 10PM, I'll be performing a set of new works for Buchla and Continuum at The Stone, an East Village not-for-profit performance space dedicated to the experimental and avant-garde. My performance is one of a series curated by Phill Niblock, director of Experimental Intermedia Foundation, featuring recording artists on the XI Records label. The Stone is located at the corner of Avenue and Second Street in Manhattan. For more information: http://thestonenyc.com/calendar.php
On Sunday, October 23 at 4:30PM, I'll be performing 100 x John 2, in honor of John Cage's 100th birthday year, as part of Ear To The Earth's New York Soundscape 2011 series. 100 x John 2 is for New York City environmental sounds processed with the Kyma System and activated by live electric guitar "to transform the ambient noise of Manhattan's streets and alleys into a magically lyrical sound". The performance takes place in Union Square Park at 14th Street in Manhattan as part of the Green City Challenge Race and Family Expo. For more about Soundscape 2011: http://www.eartotheearth.org/events.html

Finally, on Sunday October 23, at 10PM, I'll be back at The Stone performing as part of Phill Niblock + Guitars with Robert Poss, Byron Westbrook, and Matt Rogalsky, where we'll be playing Phill's Stosspeng for Ebow electric guitar quartet: http://thestonenyc.com/calendar.php"

Roland MC-4 Sequencer 4-Channel CV Gate Sequencer

"This MC-4 was state-of-the-art when it came out and certainly remains a unique, rare piece of equipment today, thanks to its unique calculator style interface. Use this with your vintage Moog, ARP, Oberheim, Roland, Sequential Circuits and other vintage analog synths. This Roland MC-4 is powerful enough to sequence FOUR SYNTHS AT ONCE (use 1 channel for each monophonic part) or, you can use this unit with a modular synth and patch the CVs and gates to anything you want.

4 channels of: CV1, CV2, Gate, MPX

Dubreq Piano Mate synthesizer
"This was intended to fit over a traditional piano so when you played it it would activate the synth and you'd sort of be accompanying yourself on synth. It was a fairly dumb idea and they did not sell well. What it is really cool for is making weird synth noises. The bars that would normally fit over the piano keys can be depressed making all sorts of insane sounds. Some of them don't work, some are sticky and some certainly don't make the sounds they were intended to but it's pretty cool. It also has a mic input which makes a pretty cool little guitar amp. Sort of an overdriven 70's rock sound. All the switches on the amp itself work fine and the tremolo is pretty cool. The original volume pedal also works perfectly..."
