Simmons SDE Expander - FM Percussion Synth with Rare Memory Card - Marimba

via this auction

"This is the same sound engine as the super rare SIMMONS SILICON MALLET Marimba Synth. You can create very realistic mallet sounds, to the futuristic sounds of tomorrow. FM SI-FI stuff, very cool. It is polyphonic! The manual can be found online at the Simmonsmuseum.com. MIDI ! Hook it up to your Simmons MTM for super strange effects."

Vintage Synare Mixer SM-61

via this auction

"Originally it was designed to be used with Synare drum modules, but since it is an analog mixer, it works quite well for a line level mixer for any instrument. What hubby used it for was to plug multiple guitars into it for use on stage without having to worry about unplugging any of them or tweaking the volumes. It has 6 inputs, one main out, and one headphone out. You can also use it for a practice amp with headphones. It also would be perfect if you have any other Synare equipment to use this with as its all compatible!

This unit was manufactured from 1979-1985, but hubby does not remember when he bought it. I believe it is pretty RARE as I could find NOTHING anywhere on the internet to help me with the description! (I had to make poor hubby sit here with me)

He played his guitar with it tonight, as he wanted to double check it and it sounds awesome!"

Boss PC-2 Percussion Synthesizer

via this auction

"This Boss PC-2 is new in a box, but is old stock...it has been languishing on our shelves for many years. It will run beautifully on a 9V DC adaptor and will also work with batteries."

Metasonix S-1000 Wretch Machine Tube Synthesizer

via this auction

"The Professional Solution-The Ultimate Tube Synthesizer! The Metasonix S-1000 Wretch Machine Tube Synthesizer Rack Mount.

Pitch sources:
* 2 independent VCOs
* Made entirely of vacuum and gas-filled tubes
* Range >2 octaves using CV, octave switching allows range from 33 Hz (low C) to more than 2 kHz.
* 3 waveforms: thyratron sawtooth, square, and square with suboctave
* VCO2 may free-run or be soft-synced to VCO 1
* Numerous patch points allow enormous flexibility

Waveshaper:
* Unique circuit with soft clipper and pulse adder (shapes waveforms from VCOs by adding small pulses to top of waveform at discontinuity)
* Made entirely of vacuum tubes
* Settings: disable, soft-clip only, and soft-clip with pulses added to signal. Latter circuit allows simulation of noise source.

Filter:
* Unique multimode circuit allows it to be used as a lowpass, treble/midrange bandpass or bass bandpass filter.
* Continuously variable control allows mixing of filter forms in any proportion.
* Made entirely of vacuum tubes.
* Range of treble resonance switchable, 400-1700 Hz. Bass resonance tunes from ~100-350 Hz

VCA:
* Unique circuit using a pentode tube
* Made entirely of a vacuum tube
* May be modulated with the AR generator only, or with the control voltage generated on modulation bus 2

Modulation:
* 2 envelope generators, A(S)R and AD, both triggered with input gate signal. Both may be combined on either modulation bus to create ADSR.
* 2 independent LFOs, triangle waveform, range <0.3 Hz to more than 5 Hz.
* 2 modulation buses allow combining the A(S)R, AD, and two LFOs as needed to affect any CV input in the audio circuit (VCO pitch, VCO squarer waveshape, waveshaper pulser, filter tuning).

Main CV input controls pitch of both VCOs (Hz/V response).
Gate input triggers envelope generators, accepts 0-5v or 0-10v gate voltage.
6AL7 "eye" tube displays status of LFOs and A(S)R control voltages on three separate glowing green bar graphs.

Miniature joystick performs multiple jobs: vertical motion affects pitch of both VCOs, horizontal motion affects tuning of filter.
Press joystick in to trigger envelopes.

Features
Size: 6U high standard EIA rack mount, 3" depth below rack panel. 11 vacuum/gas tubes. Weight about 20 pounds with AC adapter. Draws 12 volts (AC ONLY) at 3 amps."

Solidtrax - DIVA

Solidtrax - DIVA by Solidtrax
"This track is made with a BETA of the new synth made by U-He. It's called DIVA.
Only multiple instances of DIVA have been used for this track. No other plugins or samples have been used. The only other plugin is a limiter on the master bus. We hope this track is a nice example to showcase some of the presets we have been making for this synth today."

"DIVA is an amazing VST plugin, we believe it can sound extremely close to some of the old classics!"

Mini modular synth - final part

YouTube Uploaded by organfairy on Nov 15, 2011

"Last winter I made this little modular synthesizer. But I still needed to make two things for it: A power supply and a storage box. Now I have done that too and I consider this project to be finished.

The music is something I made back in 2001 and is played on Yamaha HE-8 and Technics SX-C600 organs, Roland SH-2000 synthesizer and CR-1000 drum machine, and Yamaha PSS-12, Yamaha VSS-30 and Kawai MS-20 keyboards. The PSS-12 is processed through a homemade phaser. The weird rhythmic chords that seems to follow the drum machine is a result of a failed attempt to build a vocoder. It wasn't good enough for voice processing but I used it for a while to make rhytmic chords and eventually I took it apart."
