AKS Jam Session 18-02-2012
YouTube Uploaded by attorks on Feb 20, 2012
"On Saturday 18-02-2012 the living room of my house in Dordrecht was changed into a synthesizer Walhalla. That day my YouTube friends Skoulaman (Hans van Kroonenburg), KeesVangelis (Rene de Bakker) and me planned to get together to see if we can make some music. I know Hans for a few years now because I like his music on YouTube very much and we occasionally met at his place or mine to talk about synthesizers and make some music. I am a big fan of the music of KeesVangelis on YouTube and I met Rene last year at the E-Day festival in Oirschot. Hans was also there and we decided that we three should try to make some real live music without the use of laptops as most performers at E-Day did. We only did not know how to realize this because we don't live in each others neighborhood. And things got quiet then. At New Year 2012 one of my objectives were to see if I or the three of us could perform live at E-Day/Live sometime. So I mailed Hans and Rene to see what was possible. Because the three of us never played together we first wanted to see if we could cooperate to make music worthwhile. We did very little preparation for this session so it was a real jam session interacting to each other. And I think it worked out very well. This video was made at the end of the day and shows 3 ideas: at first a sequence of mine on the Doepfer MAQ16/3 driving the Creamware MiniMax ASB, second a sequence of Rene on his MAQ16/3 driving a Waldorf Blofeld and third an arpeggiator sequence of Hans on his Moog Little Phatty. Anne filmed the session using an iPhone 4. Hope you enjoy the video and music as much as we did enjoy that day.
PS: the laptop you see in the video was only used to record the music."

"On my Kawai SR-7 organ. Homage to "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer and "Blade Runner Theme" by Vangelis. These seem to gel together in a loose way. Yamaha HS-8 on the right has nice string sounds."

Non-linear Shaper Prototype
YouTube Uploaded by SeaweedFactory on Feb 20, 2012
"Here is a demonstration of my new non-linear shaper prototype. The patch uses a triangle VCO into the shaper, which is then mixed with some spring reverb. The dry signal is also mixed into the output. Drums are provided by my analog drum module based on the Univox SR-55 drum machine. The output is feed to a Heathkit tube bench amplifier and signal tracer. A sample-and-hold is controlling the offset of the non-linear shaper.
