The Party Van - Demonstration/Walkthrough [Max/MSP, Monome & Arc]
YouTube Published on May 14, 2012 by kriista
"A screencast/demo of The Party Van.
The Party Van is a live sampling and performance instrument built using Max/MSP. It was programmed around the Monome 64 and Arc 2 controllers but includes mapping for an iPad running TouchOSC (custom layout included) as well as the Keith McMillen Softstep foot controller. Additionally, the patch has MIDI learn functionality built in, so every parameter can be mapped to any MIDI controller.
You can download the patch and instructions on my webpage:

DIY Buchla 194 Bandpass Test 01
YouTube Published on May 15, 2012 by djangosfire
"I've been slowly building up a few Buchla style modules - really having some fun w/ the DIY.
This vid is a quick and dirty test of the "Bandpass Filter Model 194" I just put together. It's hard to see in the vid, but I've been hand lettering the panels of the modules I've built so far.
Aside from the single VCO sequence patch, here's what's going on:
- VCO into mixer #1
- mixer #1 into 194 Bandpass Filter
- each of the four outs from the 194 patched into a 292 Quad Lopass Gate
- 281e set up to "cycle" through each channel, which in turn opens up an adjacent "gate" of the 292 . . . this allows each 194 output to be sequentially output mixed
- 292 outputs each sent into mixer #2
- mixer #2 output is sent both to a "mult" and to a 190 "style" Spring Reverb (the Reverb goes out to the main out BTW)
- the "multed" mixer #2 output is sent to a channel input of mixer #1 . . . this allows for manual "audio feedback control" of the 194 bands.
It sounds much better in real life, but for this "test" I just used the Vid Cam built in mic - anyway thanks!"
