modcan frequency shifter 39a, in 2 patches
YouTube Published on May 16, 2012 by shaft9000
"In 2 parts: drum processing begins at 5:10.
The first patch is silly-complicated:
a-155 sequencer combo driving 2 anti-oscillators in FM into a plan b m13 lpg+vca. VILFO modulates the FMop(Anti 1), while cwejman vc-adsr2 moves the m13. output goes to the modcan FS 39a and 59a DDL. (no filtering)
The second patch is a jomox999 into the 45a E-Follower, but using the gate out to drive the 04a EG instead of the 45a's EG. 04a goes to 48 dB LPF then 4vca, and then through the FS 39a and out the 59a DDL.
There's a touch of eventide timefactor at the end for those offset dubby"

Farewell Mg-1
YouTube Published on May 15, 2012 by condit79
"This is a little goodbye to my Mg-1, Improvised with the Moog, a moogerfooger ring mod used as an oscillator, a monotribe, and a 5u modular filled with STG soundlabs and dotcom modules. The mic I'm using is a cool thing I found when I picked up an inoperative reel to reel that I took out of the case my modular is in. It's perfect for stuff like this as I can just toss it in the mixer and go with it.
The moogerfooger is great, because you can route the control voltage signal into the audio input and you can listen to the frequency go up to the audible range and then you can use the lfo out to create two note sequences. Perfect for repetitive/drone work. Note I have my memory man after the mixer as earlier I was using it to loop all the signals coming in to create some lush texures.
All of the sound was then sent to two different tube amps set in different parts of the room. They both have different tones to them, so that in itself makes for a great performing experience. I highly recommend to anyone using electronic instruments to try different forms of sound reproduction as just straight mixer/interface recording gets a bit sterile at times."
Fun with Korg M-500sp MicroPreset (patches)
YouTube Published on May 15, 2012 by TheSynthFreq
"HI! :) This video features the awesome analogue Korg M-500sp (1977-80) synthesizer. It is a mono synthesizer with few controls or editing features but the 'synth' selection of sounds that can be edited can really be made useful with some mild fx added to give it dimension.
There are two versions of the synth, one with the speaker and the other without.
Synth controls:
Attack time, Sustain level (Decay and Release)
LFO rate and depth
Tuning
"Traveler" which is sort of the 'filter' of the Korg.
Port and time,
vibrato On/Off or Momentary
'Synthe 1' and 'synthe 2' are the only sounds that can be edited on the Korg, giving the user about 8 fully modifiable patches.
Korg M-500sp is an excellent bass/lead synthesizer.
Please enjoy! :)
