via Andrea Pedra on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge

Details in Italian on Facebook here. The following is a translation in Googlish:

"Saturday at 3:00 pm until Sunday at 3:00 am

Saturday, June 2 at the Music Center Soundy will host the second edition of MEET THE Knobbers, the highly anticipated meeting that saw the light in May 2011.

and producers of electronic music enthusiasts gather to share experiences in an atmosphere of total addiction that characterizes MEET THE Knobbers: synthesis, analog or digital and production.

As usual we will have several vintage analog synths such as ARP, Moog, Korg, Roland, Eurorack modular systems, we will be presenting new products and ARTURIA minibrute minitaur Moog by Enrico Cosimi MIDIWARE and in collaboration with Paul Groppioni with its GRP A4 preview.

Support from software companies like Ableton and Renoise, the major music stores worldwide in more esoteric hardware such ANALOGUEHAVEN (United States) and ESCAPE FROM NOISE (Sweden), DIYers and boutique manufacturers like ROOSTER MAD LAB will present their creations, modifications, repairs, also workshops and clinics of synthesis and music production ... and much more!

MEET THE Knobbers is the place where the forum comes to life on a day dedicated to music and electronic instruments with which it is created."

Update: larger flyer (click for the full size shot) and some additional info via Andrea Pedra (mmm Chianti. :) ):

"During the day we will have workshops and clinics about synthesis, modulars, elektron, live performance setup, many vintage synths, modular systems and so on, synth addiction is always our first though, as usual along with preview of mood minitaur and arturia minibrute from italian dealer midiware. Our synth guru Enrico Cosimi will be present to explain the new things and to have some fun with them.

People can come and show/explain their goodies, as our way to do things we will bring partecipants to eat some typical tuscan food and chianti like a flooding river.

This time we will have support from main modular/boutique online shops out there around the world like analoguehaven, escape from noise, schneidersburo and from main software manufacturers like ableton and renoise, along with italian dealers of moog, elektron and so on.

Everyone here in tuscany in that period can contact me with any question and need: music, food, sleep. "

"The CR-68 is a classic analog Rhythm Machine related to the famous CR-78.
The CR-68 has the same sound set and rhythm patterns, but is not programmable and lacks many of the better features found on a CR-78.

However the CR-68 does have breaks & fills, an accent that really livens up its beats, and a balance knob that can be used to weird-out the sounds a little bit.

A much cheaper alternative to the CR-78 considering it is strictly limited to its preset patterns.

The CR-68 offers up the basic set of rhythms and sounds.
There's 4 Rock, 2 Disco, Waltz, Shuffle, Slow Rock, Swing, Fox Trot, Tango, etc...

The sounds are analog and include kick, snare, rim, hi-hat, cymbal, maracas, claves, cowbell and congas.

These days the CR-68's sounds are often sampled instead, after which the machine itself may be kept around for use as a paperweight or book-end.

To overcome this, we are currently installing an Analogue Solutions MIDI Kit, so you can control this via MIDI as well. Accent is also supported!"

"To give an idea of the MacBeth micromac desktop unit- I took these pictures of the two 'cards' that make the unit up- no parts fitted- that happens over today and tommorow- from from panel to rear- it's an expected 70mm depth! It lends itself to being a somewhat shallow unit- which is good!"

"Strange Attractor is a novel sound generator and effects processor based on chaos theory. At its heart is a feedback system which can spontaneously oscillate, or respond to incoming sounds, processing them into fractal sonic textures.

It generates a wide range of undulating sounds, controlled by touch, which slowly evolve in unpredictable ways. The sound is visualised as an ever-changing dynamic form."
