studio electronics modmax ringmod & filter : a quick demo
YouTube Published on Jun 2, 2012 by coloringpad
"just turning knobs on a couple modmax pedals: a ring modulator and filter: both with quite a few bizarre sounds to be found and discovered though experimentation. Simple bassline provided by a korg emx. nothing fancy... i hadn't seen a single demo of the ringmod, so this is my contribution to your gas for more noise machines."

"Here's a video which accompanies my monotribe MOD blog: http://bit.ly/monoblog
I've added 3 knobs and a switch to the KORG monotribe, the knobs basically effect the noise and / or decay of the BD (bass drum), SD (snare drum) and HH (hi-hat). The switch turns the SD noise on and off (which has a particularly neat effect).
The project was a first for me in that I haven't really modified a synth entirely on my own. Pretty fun stuff!!
.. And hear the results ^__^

KORG monotribe Review + Beginners' Tutorial (Part 1 of 2)
YouTube Uploaded by DlimitR on Aug 17, 2011
"One of the single coolest little synths I've ever seen (heard)... The monophonic analogue battery-powered totally portable MONOTRIBE.
This is part 1 of my hands-on look-see -- review, critical response and personal gripes (which, are very minor).
Soon to come: Modifying the MonoTribe ^__^"

"As far as I'm aware, these things control Synare 3X drums, or plain-old Synare 3 drums that have been modified for use with this machine. I once saw an auction on here for one of these units that was new in the box (that one sold for over $300, btw), and the manual in that box contained instructions for how to perform that mod. Fortunately, the Matrixsynth blog archived a picture from that auction of that page of the manual -- here it is:" [below]
