Roland Jupiter 4 - with IO MIDI & Blue LEDs

"Here's quite possibly the best Jupiter synth from the vintage Roland "golden years".
This one has been serviced in early 2012 by a professional tech.
All 4 voice cards re-capped for proper tuning, overhaul cleaning of all parts and connections, calibrated etc.
Service paper work will be included.

This JP4 also has the amazing MIDIpolis IO MIDI Retrofit, installed!
Two boards inside...

1) The Keyboard Assigner, which gives you MIDI control over pitch note, bend, cutoff frequency, volume and portamento.
Also syncs up the (very awesome) arpeggio to MIDI clock. Also 2 LFOs with storable settings.
2) Expanded Patch Programmer, giving you 8x the memory storage for saved sounds (total 64). As well as...
MIDI CC send/receive on all programmable sliders, copy/paste patches, a "Second Page" for added LFOs control + velocity,
Noise level control, Memory dump, and much more.

Needless to say, the added flexibility from the IO MIDI kit allows the JP4 to out-shine many of today's "new" synths.
The sound has always been amazing ... but now the control and usability are up to current standards.

It will take a signal and shove it up the wrong end of any zoo animal you can imagine, or make subtle modifications to a standard tone and turn it into something remarkable and unique. There are a number of YouTube demos out there that show off it's abilities, and one called "Sherman Filterbank 2 demo in Hi Fi" is extremely well done and representative. This was purchased as a personal item and I'm just not using my gear enough lately, so moving it on for others. Comes with original box, power supply, catalog, and a hard copy printout of the manual. This also comes with ears for rack mounting."

"In this short vid. I'm giving a small demonstration of a patch that I had made using my new noise machine Lunetta 11's 2 panels:
STAN (dedicated to Stanley Lunetta. The originator of Lunetta synths.) contains:
- 4 x CD4093 Schmitt Trigger NAND Gate oscillators
- 4 x CD4070 XOR Gates

JACK (dedicated to my dad. R.I.P. :( ) contains
- 2 x CD4024 7 BIT Clock Dividers, chained together as a 14 BIT Clock Divider
- 1 x CD4094 8 BIT Shift Register with XORable Clock and XORable Data inputs

Using various combinations of oscillators, XOR Gates, the Clock Dividers and the Shift Regster - quite a number of sounds are obtainabled. ;)

The next panel LESLIE (dedicated to Canadian actor Leslie Nielson (R.I.P.) and bassist / vocalist extrodinaire from Primus - Les Claypool) will more than likely contain:
- 2 x 3 input AC coupled audio mixers
- 4 x active AC attenuators (for changing volume levels)
- 3 x CD4023 Pulse Width Oscillators
- 3 x CD4053 SPDT switches, each with Voltage Control"
