ARTURIA MINIBRUTE RIFFS PART 1
YouTube Published on Jul 12, 2012 by openchallenge
"As i play around with this synth I decided to make quick recordings with a couple riffs each and I'll either be tweaking the synth or just happy with the patch I made and letting it ride. Feedback and questions would be great. I recorded with no effects all sounds are minibrute with the exception of the drum machine which is a jomox xbase 09."

ARTURIA MINIBRUTE RIFFS PART 2
Published on Jul 13, 2012 by openchallenge
"I'm trying to make them as different as possible. The first one is a pretty neat throbbing bass. The second one is an homage to Drexcia and Doppler effekt. And the third one is a big slobbery bass line."
Update:
ARTURIA MINIBRUTE RIFFS 3
Published on Jul 14, 2012 by openchallenge
"This is going to be the popular patch on this synth. just turn the sub and all wave shapes all the way up and it sounds great. Two riffs with it. I put a brief stuck note in between, don't panic."
TR-909 + Monotron Delay = Elbows Out
YouTube Published on Jul 12, 2012 by siedgey
"Today has been a good day. Just have a listen to this and you'll see why. In this video the mighty TR-909 goes head to head with Korg's £34.99 Monotron Delay. Firstly, let me say this: go out and buy a Monotron Delay right now. Go on.
It's an amazing little box - it can make great little spacey sound effects etc if you use the ribbon pad, but its best feature by a mile is the delay. It really is an amazing sounding analog-style delay! It feeds back into itself like you would feed back into a tape delay and it has such a great tone that I have been using it as an aux send from my mixer rather alongside some much bigger, more expensive delays...
But then it goes a stage further, as it has an input into which you can plug anything. Hence the natural machine to plug in was the 909, and when you crank up the volume shit goes crazy.
Go and buy one immediately.

"Has been in storage for 15 years. Mostly had studio use and used a little on stage in an NYC New Wave band in the early 1980s.
Appears to be in good condition—powers up, but hasn't been tested more than that. All keys/switches etc seem to work. Comes with original instruction manual, legs, case for legs, two foot pedals. Leg case has a few punctures where the legs broke through, but other than that is in good shape.

This is a gorgeous instrument.
Freight: We will have to arrange for a freight service, unless you want to do a local pickup. This is super expensive. But Local Pickups are free!
All proceeds benefit The Brick Theater, Inc., a non-profit theater supporting emerging artists in Brooklyn, NY. More info at http://www.bricktheater.com."
