New Product From Elektron Coming Soon

via Modular Square on Facebook:

"Stoppez les rotatives ! La prochaine machine d'Elektron est sur le point d'être révélée ! Et comme chaque sortie chez Elektron, ça risque de faire du bruit...

Tout ce que l'on sait, c'est que ce produit sera le tout premier d'une nouvelle gamme, et qu'il ne remplacera pas les autres produits du catalogue.

Suspense !"

Googlish:

"Stop the presses! The next Elektron machine is about to be revealed! And since each output in Elektron, it might make noise ...

All that is known is that this product will be the first of a new line, and it will not replace other products in the catalog.

Suspense!"

1969 R.A. Moog Modular Synthesizer after clean-up

YouTube Published on Aug 27, 2012 by SynthDan1

"I fulfilled a life-long dream by buying a 1969 Moog Modular system. This system was custom-ordered by Rick Powell, a musician and friend of Bob Moog, and was used on a number of pretty bad Moog albums in the 70s. When I got it it had been restored by one of the top technicians in the United States but had been sitting for a while. The jacks were dirty and the keyboard was entirely non-functional. I shot this video just after getting the keyboard cleaned up and working. I had just reassembled and polished the wood on the keyboard's cabinet.

This system is a dream to play. It's far more stable (due to factory stability mods) than I could have hoped for, and the filter is just amazing. This patch shows two 901A oscillators tracking together through the resonant low-pass filter in a typical Minimoog-style setup, with the third 901 oscillator acting as LFO for the filter."

Triple MFOS VCO demo

YouTube Published on Aug 27, 2012 by Richarius Molindarius

"As per request, this is a shorter video showing my 3 Music From Outer Space - Voltage Controlled Oscillators, singing away as conducted by my 8 Step CGS (Serge) Programmer Sequencer. :)
As I say in the video - the 3 x VCOs outputs are Sinewaves (attempts. Fine tuning needed still in 1 of them.) But - the Pulse wave output from #2, is being fed into the Sync input of #3! :) This makes for some wonderful harmonic changes through the video, once I turn #3's volume up.
Hope you enjoy. :)"

If anyone knows where to find the schematics for the Triadex Muse, please comment or email me.

"The item does not work properly, but does power up. The internal speaker appears to be blown, and has partially separated from the inner chassis. This is a fairly generic 3" 8 ohm speaker that should be easy to locate. However, the external speaker connection reveals that the oscillator is working, but just delivers a single tone.
The sequencer lights appear to be working, and will change configuration to match the position of the control sliders. The top section of green gel filter has slipped down between the front panel and the circuit board, so just bare white bulbs are visible on the very top section of lights. All of the lights appear to be working properly. The volume slider handle is broken off below the front panel. It is operable, and will control the volume. For someone with the technical ability to troubleshoot logic and analog audio circuitry to the component level could repair this item."
