Notion Music Introduces Notion 4.0 for Desktop & iPad

"Notion Music Releases Notion 4.0 Music Notation Software
New version features cross platform compatibility between desktop and iPad versions.

Greensboro, NC, October 31, 2012 -- Award-winning music notation software developer Notion Music has announced the release of Notion 4.0 notation software. This groundbreaking upgrade features an even more intuitive interface, better compatibility between desktop and iPad, and real audio samples performed by The London Symphony Orchestra.

For the first time with any notation software, users have the ability to build, edit, playback and share files seamlessly between their desktop computer and iPad. With Notion 4.0 musicians have the freedom to work where and when they want.

“We are excited to release the newest version of Notion, this is our best version yet,” stated Notion Music’s President/CEO Jim Boitnott. “Notion now has more features, is 64-bit compatible and is even more incredibly stable. And, of course, it works great with our very successful Notion for iPad app.”

Built upon the foundation of the award-winning Notion3, the updated Notion 4.0 continues to redefine the capabilities and benefits of notation software. Users have the ability to build and edit scores, and then hear them come to life with the highest quality playback of any notation software. Recorded at top studios throughout the world, these amazingly pristine samples include drums, guitars, basses, orchestral samples performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, and much more. "Finally an all Eurorack track, well, mostly Eurorack :-) Three Doepfer modules used: A-105 lowpass filter, A-149 source of uncertainty, A-147 VC LFO. Square wave from the A-147 sent as audio to the A-105. The rest is still a haze for me - will try to write it down if anyone's interested. EHX Deluxe Memory Boy analog delay in the FX loop of the mixer. Reverb from Ableton. Enjoy."

"Midi is installed on this unit, and midi breakout box is also provided... This particular Synthex had previously been owned by a representative for Elka in Canada, and shows little to no sign of use."

Light Globe Synth

Published on Oct 31, 2012 by NakagawaGakki

"A small synth box with 2 light sensitive Oscillators modulated but 2 pot controllable LFOs.
Circuit using a single 40106 CMOS chip freeformed (no circuit board) inside a re-purposed incandescent light bulb.
Amplification is from a single LM 358 deadbug style under the wooden control panel.
Powered from a 9V battery.
Fun to play in the sunshine aswell.
Sorry for the out of focus, had trouble with the cam."
