Future Retro XS Analog Synthesizer

"Being that this is a semi-modular synth, you can interface it with other CV-compatible modular pieces --- albiet the XS uses 1/4" jacks, similar to the Korg MS-20.
The XS is an underrated classic, capable of very warm and soft tones in addition to being very aggressive if you want it to be. For whatever reason, the XS has a reputation for being "too aggressive", which is usually because first-timers to the synth don't realize that each oscillator can overdrive in the mixer section if you turn the knobs to 100%. Also, the filter is a 2-pole multimode, so there is definitely a rawness to the sound that is a bit surprising for people coming from software. I find it to be a weird mix between an SH-101 and an MS-20, depending on how you use the envelopes and resonance.
This is a great first synth for those looking to get into modular stuff, too. If you don't like the filter, feed the oscillators into another modular and back into the XS. The CV options are great on this thing, and very fun to experiment with."

Modulation Druid Says Hi
Published on Nov 18, 2012 by matt davis
"Just finished building this DIY version of Frequency Central's "Modulation Druid" VCLFO, got it LFO'ing and modulating and clocking here all at once with some parameter craziness from outside oscillators and voltage sources."

"Schrodinger's Cat
Both alive and Dead - you can't tell until you open the box
case details :
standard 17 aluminum "tool case" from rona hardware $19
fits 84 hp rails perfectly leaving a 1u space
the patch :
one monotron -e LFO is used as master clock
in to the Pittsburgh audio timetable
this controls the reset on the MFB seq02
the MFB seq02 is running on internal clock
and feeds the Pittsburgh audio timetable cv
and is sequencing two monotron-e units vco v/oct cv , filter cv
two input of the 4MS vca matrix
the vco of two monotron -e units are feed in to the 4MS vca matrix
the Pittsburgh audio timetable cv out is also feed in to the 4ms vca matrix
and controls the fold and sym of the ufold
the audio out of the 4ms vca matrix is sent to a pulp logic primitive ringmod
and then to the ufold and then back into one monotron -e filter and then passed on to the second monotron e's filter
the sound you hear has no external fx applied"

On eBay DE (Germany)
"two squarewave oscillators, with potentiometers for pitch, feed into a digital ring mod.
One LFO that turns the oscillators on and off. A switch to change the pulsewidth from short to long. A rotary switch, with 6 options, to vary the release time.
6,35mm jack.
An analog lowcut-filter with one potentiometer for cut-off frequency and one for resonance.
solid aluminium enclosure.
Awesome to use with modular synths.
Non EU-bidders please ask for shipping-conditions before bidding!"
