"Back to the basics, DUSG's as only sound sources, with lots of synced cross modulations.
EQ, WAD and VCFQ added for good measure.
(sorry, watch your ears around 5:00)"

Circuit Bent Casio MT-240 MIDI Keyboard with Patch Points

Note this one is not finished.

"The Casio MT-240 part works great like a normal MT-240, then I added a bent glitch effects patch bay and shortened the scale to 5 keys. ONLY the 5 lowest keys play, the others are wired up but go to nothing. The keys are not the most responsive, but if you use the MIDI IN you can add any MIDI controller and have full keyboard use. The MIDI OUT is great for making random glitched out patterns while you use the patch bay. Added 1/4" MONO Output (lots of the glitches are in stereo, use the 1/8" output for that. AC Adapter is included, batteries can not be used on this anymore. Quick Reset switch has been added in the upper left area (little black button). I never got around to finishing this project, the lid could be better, but everything else is secure and in place... I hope a circuit bender or someone who wants to learn circuit bending can finish this project."

"This has four independent oscillators each with there own on/off switch, pitch knob, and optical pitch control which also has its own on/off switch. It also has a volume knob, 1/4" output, master on/off switch, and an on/off switch for the lights. It is powered by a 9 volt battery (not included). The colored pegs can be stored in the bottom (where the battery used to be). Not every spot can have a colored peg, some parts are underneath some spots."

Roland TR-77 Preset Rhythm Box with Music Sheet Stand

Regarding the stand: "This unit was primarily designed as an organ top box and a very good one it is. To an organist it would give you plenty flexibilty with volume faders for each group of sounds and a clever chrome touch bar on the top left that starts and stops the rhythms (like it uses some static in your finger or something?). There is an UpTempo switch, 2 beat, 4 beat and a fade out button plus you can hold down multiple rhythm's to layer them!"

Buchla: DIY 158, Delay & Joystick

Published on Nov 21, 2012 by djangosfire
"Breaking in a new DIY Buchla format "Retro 158" dual oscillator that I just made. Also testing a one-off Buchla format Joystick I'm building.

The delay is a Modcan 59a Digital Delay, re-faced with a custom Buchla style panel that I created the artwork for.

I'm using the Joystick module to alter pitch and audio attenuation - as well as pulsing the delay for a sync.

These make up a KILLER sci-fi efx box :)"

Ninstrument Synthboy+ Now Available

Ninstrument wrote in to let us know that the Synthboy+ Kickstarter project posted here back in June was a success!

"We opened the webstore to the public today. We only have a few items available, so I thought I would let the die hard fans at matrixsynth know first. Here is the link. Every penny in profit goes right back into product development. Attached pics are of the very rare and hard to find White Gameboy. We made a very special Synthboy+ (We call it the Unicorn) to mark the occasion.

Thank you for all of your support."

Brian Biggs' Eurorack Modular

via wire to the ear where you'll find the full write-up.

"Brian is a Children’s Book Illustrator, has a very large Pitbull/Greyhound dog named Cyrus and has a nice Eurorack Modular system. I’ve been thinking about which “sampler” module to get. I was looking at the ADDAC Systems Wav player, Make Noise Phonogene or The Harvestman Tyme Sefari. I noticed Brian had both a Tyme Sefari 2 and Phonogene so I basically asked him if he was interested in some show and tell. I wasn’t expecting a proper invite but that’s what I got! As you can see by the photos Brian has a pretty nice set up..."
