"Recently bent pss-140. Second round for this model of keyboard. Data line modification, LFO, pitch mod, filter and tone mod added to this machine.
Heavy glitch keyboard, lends itself well for recording samples. Video is just some experimenting around with it."

Offered on eBay
"Modified YAMAHA keyboard with the following additions.
8 Data line modification / mixing
LFO with Frequency and Amount controls, acting on CPU
Tone control
Distortion filter
Pitch shift switch
Standard PSS-140 Features.
37 Keys
6 note Polyphony
100 Voices
10 Rhythms
Auto Accompaniment
H1/4" Headphone/AUX Output Jack
9-12VDC Power Jack (adapter is not included)
Approximate Dimensions: 22-1/4" x 7-5/8" x 2-3/8" (not including modifications)
Modified keyboard is built for glitches but does produce some drones as well. The 8 data line mod is made with 3 position switches (data on / data off / data mix). The 8 data lines are arranged into 4 pairs which allow for mixing of data lines. Data lines can be turned on and off so as to build new patches and sounds. LFO is routed directly to the CPU so as to give maximum glitching and effect on all patches and sounds, also causes keyboard to glitch without the use of Data Line switches. Tone and Distortion filter are directly connected to the keyboard circuit and are not able to be bypassed. Pitch drop effects all keys above the auto accompaniment, it lowers the pitch several octaves.
Standard keyboard operates as normal, with the exception of the added distortion and tone control. Two of the black keys are a bit stiff, but otherwise play normal. All functions are in good order, keyboard has some sighs of previous use (small scratches and scuffs). Battery cover is present.
Great instrument for studio work or in a live show. Lots of glitching sounds and textures, endless possibilities with mixing the 100 voices, tampering with the 10 rhythms and distorting the on board demo song..."

Arp 2600 Max/MSP test
Arp 2600 Max/MSP test from Peter Speer on Vimeo.
"A quick test to see how a partially-working Arp 2600 reacts to control from Max/MSP.
Max (via the ES-3) is controlling the frequency of all three VCOs, as well as the cutoff for the filter and voltage controlling the 2600's VCA."

"After just a handful of shows, this pair came to Boiler Room to showcase what Karenn is all about. Seems like it's all about stepping away from laptops and towards cramming a table with hardware and doing everything humanly possible to make you dance..
Pretty fucking amazing right?!"

Cwejman MX4S is where all of the panning is coming from for each of the 4 channels. The Harvestman Piston Honda is making the static style noise on Channel 4: WMD Synchrodyne is making the semi step filter sound with help from the Harvestman Double Andore on Channel 3: The other strange drone sound is stacked audio out from the Wogglebug on Channel 2: And the Make Noise Phonogene is on channel 1. On the Phonogene I just hit some random notes with my Teenage Engineering OP-1 and recorded in a random off time loop and threw in some random slices."
