Retronyms Releases Major Update to Tabletop for iPad
"December 14, 2012 — San Francisco, CA
Today Retronyms released a major new update to Tabletop for iPad. This free update adds several new features including a Timeline Editor, MIDI support, and Session Sharing. Retronyms also announced that iMPC will work inside Tabletop as the first Tabletop-Ready App.
Timeline Editor
The brand new Timeline Editor is designed from the ground up to provide a fast and powerful way to create and edit notes using intuitive multi-touch gestures:
Cut, copy, paste, duplicate, and create notes.
Correct note timing with Fix to Grid.
Edit note length and velocity.
Undo any changes and edits with Tabletop’s History Menu.
MIDI Controller Support
Users can control Tabletop devices with their favorite hardware MIDI controllers. Connect with USB via Apple’s Camera Connection Kit and use Tabletop’s “MIDI Learn” mode to painlessly map controls and set up MIDI devices:
Features Core MIDI Support.
Works with any MIDI-compatible hardware.
Control Tabletop’s keyboards, drum pads, knobs, faders, and other parameters.
Customize control mapping with Midi Learn mode.
Connect multiple devices.
Share Sessions
Tabletop users have shared thousands of songs on CloudSeeder, the in-app community built on SoundCloud, and with session sharing users can now share complete song projects. After a user uploads a track, another can download, remix, and post it back to the community. All building blocks are included in the shared session - from synth presets to custom samples to sequencing data.
Tabletop-Ready Apps
An important milestone in the evolution of music apps on iOS, Tabletop Ready Apps are stand-alone apps that work inside Tabletop. When users purchase a Tabletop Ready App, a free version is automatically unlocked inside Tabletop. Users can place apps from top music brands in their Tabletop sessions, seamlessly integrating with the dozens of devices already available.
Two Tabletop-Ready Apps are soon to be released including the iMPC from Akai Professional.
About Tabletop
Tabletop is a modular music creation environment for iPad. Mix and match over 25 different devices including samplers, mixers, effects, sequencers, turntables and more. In-app purchases allow users to get the new gear they want from an expanding catalog."

Elektron Analog Four - House sounds of Chicago
Published on Dec 13, 2012 by darenager
"I was messing around with the A4 and stumbled across the arpeggio sound from Frankie Knuckles seminal 1987 track 'Your Love' so here it is, I did not spend a great deal of time getting the other sounds correct, and this is just a basic demo, the original track can be found on youtube, if you are not familiar with it do check it out, it is one of my favourite classic house cuts."

Buchla 207e - Mixer / Mic Preamplifier

via this auction
"The top section is the same as the mixer model 206e, but the bottom section (formerly a preset manager) has been replaced by a microphone preamplifier.
The top consists of a six input, two output mixer with controls for level and stereo location. Two of the locations can be voltage controlled; the remaining four can be continuously panned. VU meters monitor the output levels.
The preamplifier accommodates a wide range of input levels and provides phantom power to those mikes that need it. LED’s indicate the output level and an envelope follower output is provided.
The microphone gain and the headset level are not stored as part of a preset. All other settings can be stored with the aid of a 206e or a 225e preset manager."
