Korg MicroKorg XL+ Now Available
"MELVILLE, NY, December 2012 - Korg's latest iteration of the popular MicroKorg analog synth, the new MicroKorg XL+, is now available in stores in the U.S. It contains a reimagined palette of analog modeled sounds plus new dedicated PCM for Korg's SGProX piano, the M1 and VOX organs, as well as recognizable "Tape" instruments. A vintage look that includes brushed black panel and knobs completes the package.
On top of the 128 onboard sounds, Korg has included another 640 sounds that can be loaded for free through the dedicated Editor Librarian software for Mac and PC.
As with each keyboard in the Micro series, the MicroKorg XL+ is ready to play an active role in any situation–on stage, in the studio, or at home. It can run on optional battery power, for extreme portability, and with USB MIDI, it's also a super-portable controller, ideal for use with laptops. A gooseneck mic and 16-band vocoder are also included, for added fun and expression anywhere.
The Korg MicroKorg XL+ is now available for a U.S. street price of $499.99"

"This is a great example of the wonderfully rare and brilliant-sounding mono-/duo-synth that its fans reckon outclassed the Minimoog as soon as it was introduced in 1983 and just got better and better as the Oxford Synthesiser Company tweaked the controls, added MIDI and offered more patch storage. At number 833, this is a relatively late model, which has (as far as I know) all the revisions that matter..."

"The technical specifications of this synthesizer are:
· Monophonic (Plays one note at a time)
· One Oscillator
· LFO
· Analog Subtractive synthesis
· The Filter: 24 dB/oct. Low Pass plus 14 fixed filters (resonators)
· 37-Key Synth action with After Touch Sensitivity
This particular Pro-Soloist is serial numbered 2710-059. It has two outputs for either a ¼’’ low impedance or a RCA-style high impedance, in case you want to plug it into that bitchin’ Kenwood stereo you still have in the garage. There is also another connector on the back that is kind of like an old school midi, although that particular connection port has been somewhat broken apart, but is still attached to the synth and could still be used. The condition of this synth is about 7 out of 10. Unlike other Pro-Soloist that have been played to death, this synth’s after-touch capabilities still work to their fullest ability. The action of the keys is good for an archaic dinosaur, having no keys that stick and that all keys trigger their notes properly when played.
