MikroWave - music sequencer for Android now w/ renewed audio engine
Published on Jun 25, 2013
"Demo of MikroWave 1.5.0 running on a Asus Nexus 7 tablet (though it will run fine on mobile phones as well). As of this version, the audio engine has been overhauled to run in a native layer for high performance audio with low latency (the delay between an action and hearing the result).
Devices running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) should benefit greatly with an extra increase in performance, while the application runs from Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) upwards.
You can try it for free (NO ads, NO time limits) on Google Play:

A Noise Machine for iOS
Published on Jun 25, 2013 Ashley Elsdon·240 videos
"An experiment in touch based controls of pitch and volume for multiple tones resulted in an app that's fun to interact with, and produces a wide range of different sounds and textures.
Drag some dots into the work area and carefully position for controllable out of phasing, or shake the device to randomize the whole mess.
Use touch to position up to 40 tones in the work space
Slider controls for motion setup
Pause so you can grab the fast moving ones
Save/load your compositions (can they be called that?)
Auto save/load of active composition when exiting/starting app
Shake device to randomize all active tones
Individual tone randomization option
Help screen"

MacBeth NEXUS Test #5
Published on Jun 24, 2013 macbethsynthesizers·83 videos
"As I finalize the design of the NEXUS synthesizer for production- I took it the prototype through to the work bench. Basically- the work/refinements are complete. This recording has no external effects- the only sounds are from the NEXUS itself! I've designed a synthesizer that has the type of sound, similar to that used on the David Bowie trilogy that was recorded in Berlin in the seventies- see what you think!"
Groovesizer Alpha (proto) - MIDI sync
Published on Jun 24, 2013 MoShang·43 videos
"In this video, the Groovesizer is synced via MIDI clock to Reaper (playing the drum loop).
The Groovesizer is an arduino-based DIY 32-step sequencer / synth - the project is based around a custom PCB that in it current form features 4 rows of 8 tactile switches and leds - the final version will add a fifth row of buttons and leds dedicated to control functions. It features an embedded hackduino, an 8-bit DAC option, an LM386 amp output, MIDI in/out/sync and is configurable to work with some of the most popular existing arduino audio projects. Firmware can be updated from the arduino IDE, either via an AVR ISP programmer, or by flashing the chip on an arduino board and swapping it out. Furthest along in its development is the Alpha firmware which features a 3 oscillator monosynth. Other firmware will include the Bravo which borrows code from the Bleeplabs Bleepdrum https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11606 , the Charlie, based around the Illutron 4-voice wavetable synth http://www.instructables.com/id/Turn-... , and the Delta, based on the original Groovesizer with the auduino synth engine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zsxWf...
The complete kit with PCB and all components (without enclosure) will be sold for around US$100 - follow the progress on this project at http://groovesizer.com"
Arturia MINI BRUTE Part B - MIDI Control with Tenori - BOC Style

"A 'Boards of Canada' style jam with Tenori MIDI controlling and being audio filtered by the analog MiniBrute synthesizer. The many I O connectivity options of the MiniBrute ( Audio, MIDI, USB and Analog CV ) allow it to work with the hardware synths or software DAWs you already use.
All music in this video is my own original composition, made with the synthesizer instruments that I am demonstrating.
[ I have obtained official permission to video review and Monetize videos from
the software / synth companies featured in this video - I can give you references if you wish. They are Arturia ( maker of the MiniBrute Synth ) who sent me this machine for review purposes and Yamaha ( maker of the Tenori-On grid synth ) ]"
