Switched On recently restored a Moog Model 10 synthesizer. Before we sent it out the door we wanted to get a little bit of documentation to share.

It is very clear upon hearing the timbral quality of this system that everything described about the original Moog sound and the legendary 904a low-pass filter is very true. One especially nice module that is included in this system in the Fixed Filter Bank. You can consider this to operate like an EQ but with resonance! By driving up isolated harmonic bands pre-lowpass filter it adds a very pleasant sounding distortion that is unlike anything.
You can hear it demonstrated in the first patch in this video.

Like my last Friday Fry Session, I kept myself to just 1 hour to develop some patterns and then went at it. This is not a limitation of the challenge, just a personal motivator to keep me from over-thinking things.

This video also serves a couple of other purposes:
1) I'm trying to get my husband to play with ReBirth in Duo Mode with me, and thought a video would make it seem more manageable and fun. His initial reaction was, "Woah that is a lot of buttons." By the end of the video I got a tentative, "Alright, I guess we could try..." Success!

2) A lot of people complain about ReBirth's controls being too small. I get that on the iPhone version, but on the iPad it is fine; just move your fingers out of the way. Since Display Recorder shows where my fingers are, I hope this video shows how I use the knobs by moving my fingers to the sides. This app is pretty awesome for acid so it is worth a second look. I love the distortion effect on the lead!"
