Shkatulka S Sekretom (TRANSLATED) Russian Soviet Musical Animation
Uploaded on Oct 29, 2009 StopFear·69 videos
This on in via James Jaret Kojac on Facebook. There's no synth animation, but the effects and much of the soundtrack are clearly synths. Curious what synths were used for it at the time.
"(this has been on YouTube before. This is different because it has been translated using YouTube notations)
This is a Russian Soviet animation done in style of Beatles' animation in Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine etc. You can clearly see the style is copied one to one. I have added subtitles to translate into English.
Whats also special about this cartoon is that it is one of the first of the many cartoons that started to appear on Television in 70s USSR that used synthesizer and electronic music ."

Ex Philip Glass & Michael Riesman's Oberheim OB-Xa with MIDI for Auction?
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"This unit was used by Philip Glass, Michael Riesman, and the Philip Glass Ensemble for performances and recordings from the early 80's until it was retired from service on the road later in the 80's. It was then retrofitted with a MIDI interface and used only in the studio. It can be heard on a number of albums including 'La Belle et la BĂȘte' from 1995. It has been used seldom, if at all, since that album was made, and has been in storage since 2009.
The built-in keyboard is barely functional - only about half of the keys (in the middle of the keyboard) make sound Probably all that's needed to fix this is a cleaning, but this isn't something we have wanted to bother with, because the unit is 100% functional via MIDI and that's how it was used in its last years in the studio. It could be that the keyboard has been in this condition since the 90's. The keyboard action feels fine, so it's not a problem with keys or the the bushings. The fact that the middle of the keyboard plays supports the notion that the problem is just dirt. because it's the least-used keys that don't work, because their contacts haven't been burnished by use.
I think the MIDI kit was made by JL Cooper, but am not sure. Instructions for use are on a piece of tape, shown in the pictures. Whoever made it, it works."

Ex Howard Devoto & Dave Formula's Roland Paraphonic 505 Up for Auction?
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
via the listing: "Here we have a Roland RS505 Paraphonic Analogue Synthesiser dating from 1979, originally belonging to Howard Devoto, front man of the band Magazine. It then became the property of Magazine keyboard player, Dave Formula who used it in the band and later went on to use it on the first and second Visage albums.
I bought this off Dave in 2006 and he very kindly signed (large signature) one of the wooden end cheeks in thick gold sharpie pen. Im not posting the pic of the signature for fear of replication but i promise you, you wont be disappointed. I have played it a few times and it sounds wonderful and lush. Please check Youtube for examples. Due to lack of space, ive had it in safe dry storage for a few years and recently noticed that at some point the small Ensemble rocker lever must have unscrewed and I cant locate it so you would have to try and find a replacement switch.
Overall in pretty good shape for age.Built like a tank. No major scratches and no dents."

Like New Condition with Original Box and both US and UK power cords. Having formerly owned a Korg MonoPoly I can say this reminds me so much of it but much more flexible.
