"Getting a first feel of the Make Noise Pressure Points.
The module is connected to two Q106 vco's with pulse wave outputs. They are routed back into the Intellijel Plog X & Y inputs. Then the logic signals at audio rate are sent from the Plog channel A & B out to Maths channels 1 & 4. The output of these Maths channels are sent to a CP3 mixer before routing through various envelopes, delays and frequency shifters.
The four channels of the PP are separated into four configurations of the routings and also control some parameters on the Maths, the Plog and frequencies of the vco's as well as the CV of the Encore frequency shifter and Modcan dual delay 73B.
Somehow the pitch variations on channel one of the PP (which is responding to the pressure), is not controlling the pitch of the vco's but rather controlling the B channel logic TYPE of the Plog. I never switched to view it (sorry) but the changes in pressure shifted the logic state which caused the frequency of the Maths CH4 to change. A strange and accidental patch fluke. One that I wasn't expecting. This is the deep cello or bass string sound at the beginning and end.
There is a feedback loop between the Plog and Maths. The channle B of the Plog is sent to the Maths Channel 4 and then returned to the Channel A logic TYPE of the Plog."

Free Max 4 Live Auto Filter & Modular Synth Awards 2013 via Tooths

via Tooths

"We recently started learning Ableton Max 4 Live and have a little audio effect to give you for free.

Its an auto filter with selectable LFO – either a bpm synced LFO or a really slow free running LFO for looooong modulations. It also features a low and high frequency selector so you can effect just a particular frequency band."

Also Tooths is running a modular synth awards survey here.

"We are running a Modular Synth Awards 2013 survey voted by you. So if you are into modular synths show your love by voting for your favourite modules – be it eurorack, 5u, whatever…

15 questions – vote for your favourite module in each section… it can be hard to classify some modules but we will collect all the votes and tally them up proper."

Friday the 13th Rock

Published on Dec 15, 2013 Martin Peters·117 videos

"Here a little tune I made last Friday the 13th. I hope you like it. There are three 16-step sequences from the Sequentix Cirklon. It starts with the Moog Prodigy. After that 2 voices from the Synthesizers.com Modular come in, each voice with only one Q106 oscillator. The sequences are transposed by the Cirklon 5 semitones and 7 semitones down. But I made alterations to the transposed sequences to make it sound less static. The strings are done on the Waldorf Q Keyboard and the solo on the Minimoog Voyager.

Anne used my iPhone 4 to film this video. The audio is recorded live from the stereo main mix on the Mackie Onyx 1620 firewire card using Reaper DAW.

You can download/see/hear the video and music from my website in about a week."

Via the listing: "It is not mint condition. However, the bulk of the cosmetic wear & tear is on the exterior of the case. On the console there is a slight ink smear near the tuning control. The other flaws are as follows:

Organ 1 preset lamp is out.
String 2 preset lamp is out.
Volume pot is a bit scratchy. I cleaned it with a bit of silicone spray and it is much better. I'd replace it except it's a tricky value to find in a 1 watt dual ganged pot (A20K).
Does not have legs or pedals.
New casters, 3 new caster sockets. I didn't replace the last one because it was too close to the electronics to risk sticking bid metal hand tools.
Needs a tuning. I have printed a copy of the owners manual, and also the manual for the tuning procedure.
Serial #A00769

The synth has been in my possession for the past 20 years. Mostly in storage, with some occasional playing. Every knob, button, switch, is fully functional, save for the two lamps and the (not very) scratchy volume pot. It's been plugged in & allowed to warm up, & I've tested every preset and panel control. I have not attempted to do the complete tuning because I simply do not have the time. Anyone familiar with the CS-80 is aware of the necessary tuning one must do every so often, as well as it's highly delicate electronics. (This is why I will not ship. That, and weighing about 200 lbs.) Supposedly this was the synth used by Jefferson Starship in the late 70's but I have no idea if that's actually true or not.
Feel free to send me any questions. Happy bidding!"
