Take On Me - Volca Keys cover + microSAMPLER

Published on Jan 6, 2014 Arrayzable·14 videos

"Cover of Take On Me. Played on Volca Keys and microSAMPLER.

I remember when this music video of Take On Me was first broadcast on national television when I was a kid. We were all in awe! And the next day this was the only thing we would talk about on the street where I lived. I have always loved this track and still do.
I omitted some parts of the a-ha original to make my own version.
I really think the Volca Keys sounds so good in this track :)
Due to the small keys on the Keys I'm bound to make some mistakes once in a while - bear with me and enjoy this classic!"

Volca Keys + Poly800 + Vocoder [Life Begins Now] & More from Arrayzable

Published on Dec 1, 2013 Arrayzable·14 videos

"Just another four chord homebrew.
It started as a Monotribe/Keys thing but developed into this.

There´s not a lot of tweaking in this track. I was just way too busy playing melody-lines.

In this track:
Korg Volca Keys (four chord pads)
Korg Poly800 (melody-line)
Korg Monotribe (four note bass-line and hi-hat)
Korg microKORG XL (vocoder)
Korg Kaossilator (effect pad + melody riff)
Korg miniKaossPad2 (fixed delay for the Kaossilator)
M-Audio Venom (drum sequence)

Thanks for watching!"

I've never seen one of these before. I created a new Videonics label with this post.  I did a quick search on the site for Videonics and found a few previous posts on a video mixer.  See the Videonics channel at the bottom of this post.

"This fantastic VCO will also work on it's own with all your euro modules as a desktop unit. I will include a power supply as well (which are EXPENSIVE themselves). The BIN price is MUCH lower than list price, and this thing is still basically new!"

Mutable Instruments Dual SVF Shruthi Hybrid Analog Digital Synth

"Nice matte black case with beautiful engravings. Sound is 100%, can range from brutally harsh to very pretty and sweet. Digital oscillators (a ton of waveforms) with an analog filter section (Dual SVF) comprised of two state variable filters. This affords incredible versatility: series and parallel routing, 3x modes per filter (hi- band- low- pass), linking the cutoffs. The modulation matrix is great for creating custom patching which can be easily saved and recalled.
For example, envelope may be routed to LFO2's speed, and LFO2 may be routed to filter 1 cutoff, and filter 2 is set to follow filter 1 at a fixed interval. Running this through the two filters in parallel, one lo-pass, one hi-pass, can yield some amazing sound, in this case evolving as time elapses. Another fun thing to do is to select the vowel oscillators, and route an envelope or LFO to the "parameter" of the oscillator (in this case, dictating which vowel is played). The tone will consist of swaying, bubbling vowelly weirdness.

This synthesizer is great because it is not only easily accessible to beginners through the great and varied patches, but the well-organized menus make programming a painless experience (completely unlike the first synthesizer I ever owned, the Micron, which was dreadful to even make basic changes to patches), which encourages experimentation. And of course, experienced synthesists can appreciate a well-designed, strong instrument. Awesome versatility in a tiny package..."
