Korg MS2000BR: sound design 1

Published on Jul 10, 2014 Seen from Space

"Not a finished piece of music, but a demo of the nice complex sounds you can get from this relatively simple synth. You're hearing the MS2000BR alone; no additional effects apart from a bit of compression in Logic to bring up the level.

Best enjoyed in stereo!"

"Early Roland PG200 / Prototype with misspelled "Enverope" and "Sourse" sections. Check out a normal production PG and you'll see how Roland has "fixed" the screen printing after discovering the mistake.

Works perfectly. Some minor scratches (see photos). Includes case and cable. Works with JX-3P and GR-700."

Native Instruments introduces CIRCUIT HALO Expansion for MASCHINE

"Berlin, July 10, 2014 – Native Instruments today released CIRCUIT HALO – a new MASCHINE Expansion that combines intricately-sampled vintage synths and drum machines with contemporary patterns. CIRCUIT HALO’s sound set combines multi-sampled synths, classic drum machines, custom glitch modulation effects, and new presets for the included MASSIVE and REAKTOR PRISM synths. CIRCUIT HALO is available now at the NI Online Shop and runs exclusively in the MASCHINE 2 software on MASCHINE STUDIO, MASCHINE, or MASCHINE MIKRO. A compact version for iMASCHINE is also available via the in-app store.

CIRCUIT HALO features a premium collection of samples from vintage synthesizers such as the Roland Juno 60, Casio VL-Tone, Prophet 5, Yamaha DX7, Sequential Circuits Pro One and Six-Trak, and a Korg MS-20. Each instrument was meticulously multi-sampled to capture the characteristic warm low end and idiosyncrasies such as pitch drift that analog equipment adds to productions. The combination of vintage sound with the latest in glitch modulation effects and arrangement styles gives producers a new way to blend classic sounds with production techniques.

The drum sounds in CIRCUIT HALO come from a mix of vintage and modern drum machines – many customized for a unique sound. Boutique outboard gear such as a classic 80s British talkback compressor and 1/2" analog tape were used for detailed tone shaping and a good dose of warmth and character. Lush reverb reminiscent of the 80s sound was also used to add depth and vintage flavor to the expansion.

CIRCUIT HALO’s four Special Kits contain a wealth of glitched-out, grainy sounds, noises and sweeps, sound effects, and percussion and stabs. All-new PRISM presets provide organic leads, pads, mallets, and flutes while MASSIVE presets deliver textured, morphing leads, basses, and stabs.

A condensed version of CIRCUIT HALO is also available as an iMASCHINE Expansion for creating beats on-the-go. The iMASCHINE Expansion features two projects, four drum kits, and two multi-sampled instruments. Tracks can be exported to MASCHINE STUDIO, MASCHINE, and MASCHINE MIKRO for completion.

CIRCUIT HALO was created in cooperation with Danish sound design expert Joël Krozer of 6 Bit Deep.

CIRCUIT HALO is available now at the NI Online Shop for $49 / 49 € / £44 / ¥ 4,800 / AU$ 79 and runs in the MASCHINE 2 software.

The iMASCHINE expansion is available at the iMASCHINE in-app store for $0.99 / 0,89 € / £0.69 / ¥ 100 / AU$ 0.99.

via the seller: "I stop this project, I simply lack the time ............

I offer a DIY synthesizer modular system built after the buildinginstructions of Tünker from about 1980.

The system consists eg of 10 (!) VCO's, 3 multimode filters (5 modes) various LFO's and much more.

I bought it like it is and wanted to finish it, but I have no time for it.

The modules in picture 1 are fully assembled, but cannot say whether they work or not.

Some basic data:

classy front panels (aluminum with machined lettering)
TOP professional quality pcbs
Abuot 30 pcbs, partially partially equipped are added-
Complete manual with all the instructions and schematics and layouts
Power supplies are included

The late 70 early 80s there were quite a few DIY Modular projects, such as PAIA, Elektor Formant or Baumann. This is probably Tünker of 1980

I am selling it explicitly to hobbyists for restoration, repair, or parts recycling

Shipping is possible in Germany possible but will be expensive (3 packages + Iloxx for the cabinet).

Therefore I prefer pick up"

This is the first Tünker post on the site. Helmut Tünker was a German TV engineer who developed DIY synth modules and wrote a book on his designs.
