T-t-talk to me - An Echophon, Planar and Ribbonz demo

"I just got the Make Noise Echophon and decided to give it a go. This is the result of my first patch. Thought I'd make a video of my experience :)

Here's a basic breakdown: The Flame Talking Synth is going into the Echophon input. I took the aux out of the Echophon into the FoH Sound of Shadows and fed both Echophon and SOS outputs into the Fontronik MH01. There's a lot of modulation going on. The Talking Synth has all of its parameters controlled by the Monde Ribbonz (the ribbon controller at the bottom that you've never seen before) and the Echophon has most of it's parameters controlled by the Intellijel Planar joystick and the ZBK (the big knob in the middle!).

The video was then processed with the LZX Industries video synth.

"Modular techno jam with my Eurorack synth and a TR-808. No edits. But I added a bit of filter work to the 808 in post. I figured I'd spruce things up a bit with a multi cam vid. Hope you totally dig it."

electro-music 2014 festival - Sept 5-7, Huguenot NY

"The electro-music festival, known as the "Woodstock of electronic music," is the world's premiere event for experimental electronic music. Now in it's tenth year, this year's gathering features three mind-bending days of innovative electronic music concerts, seminars, workshops, demonstrations, jam sessions, video art, a laptop battle, and a swap-meet. Action starts at 1pm on Friday, September 5 and runs until midnight on September 7. Musical activities will be running continuously throughout the three days of the festival.

electro-music 2014 takes place at the Greenkill Retreat Center in Huguenot, New York. On-site lodging and meals are available. Tickets range from $40 for a single day to $339 for a 3-day pass including meals and lodging.
