Experiment with modular synth pulse samples on E-MU E5000
Published on Oct 4, 2014 Phil Tipping
"Sweeping through pulse waveforms using E5000's realtime crossfade function, controlled by cc messages from a Drehbank MIDI controller driven by the CV output of a modular LFO.
Pulse samples captured and processed as per previous video http://youtu.be/Uhv1tN7FMTo" [here]

First test with Mutable Instruments Braids
Published on Oct 4, 2014 Matthew Shaw
"First test with Mutable Instruments Braids. Patch description below.
Melody and Percussion:
Braids in "Meta" mode, waves are selected by Intellijel Metropolis set to "Brownian" which pseudo randomly selects waves. The sound is filtered by the Makenoise MMG, the MMG is modulated by a Doepfer A145 LFO set to a slow cycle rate. Main sequence Makenoise Pressure Points clocked by Intellijel Metropolis and modulated "Direction in" by a square wave form a Doepfer A145 LFO.
Kick and Snare:
Kick produced by Doepfer A127 Triple Voltage Controlled Filter and modulated by a Doepfer A140 ADSR. Snare made by a Doepfer A118 Noise Source, filtered by a Doepfer A121 Multi-Mode Filter and modulated by Doepfer A140 ADSR.
Clocks:
Main clock Intellijel Metropolis, this is sent to a Doepfer A160 Clock Divider which is then sent to a Doepfer A149-1 Quantized / Stored Random Voltage which intern triggers the Doepfer A-149-2 Digital Random Voltage, these clocks are then sent to the Intellijel Plog logic module to produce the kick and snare rhythm.
Delay:
Main delay comes from the Modcan Dual Delay percussion delay produced by Synthrotek EKO, the EKO's rate is modulated by a Doepfer the A118 Random Voltage and is attenuated by a Doepfer A129/3 Vocoder Slew-Limiter."

Modified Realistic Moog MG-1 Synthesizer Demo
Published on Oct 3, 2014 sizzlemeister
"I modified this MG-1 a few years ago. Don't ask for schematics or anything, as I don't think I kept my notes. These are basic modifications, anyway, for anyone who knows what they're doing.
Here is the list of modifications, and/or updates/work done:
LFO - added Medium, Fast, (S)Low speed selection switch
Osc 1 - added Pulse Width knob, plus Pulse Width routing switch (manual, LFO)
Osc 2 - added Pulse Width knob. Added Detune Routing switch (LFO, Envelope, off or manual). If memory serves, Osc 2 was also lowered an octave.
Filter - added Feedback knob, plus a switch to turn Feedback on or off.
A Power LED was added.
Keybed - each key removed and hand-cleaned. The keybed was adjusted to be quicker and more responsive.
CV inputs - modded to accept standard 1v / octave analog control.
New audio output IC (I forget what I put in there, but it's new and better than the stock one).
Standard 1/4 inch output jack replaces stock RCA output jacks.
Lower PCB inside reinforced to be more structurally stable.
Complete power supply overhaul.
Electrolytic capacitors replaced.
Various switches and sliders replaced with new ones as necessary.
Fully tuned and calibrated.
All foam removed and foam damaged components cleaned and, if necessary, replaced.
All plastic and metal hand-cleaned of gunk, nasties, and yuckies (I'm a germaphobe)."
Korg Poly 800 with Moog Slayer and other filter mods plus a built in BSIAB II
Uploaded on Jun 29, 2011 sizzlemeister
"Korg Poly 800 with Moog Slayer mod, Filter Frequency Modulation mod, 12/24 db Filter switching, and a BSIAB II grafted into the former chorus circuit. I picked up this Poly 800 at a yard sale and it was in very bad shape, so I gave it bath and fixed it up. It needed the power section rebuilt and some other work, plus the joystick knob was missing so I replaced that. I added an internal battery for the memory."
