via MATRIXSYNTH CLASSIFIEDS

"This is an amazing analog beast, fully polyphonic & sounds gorgeous. Easily my favorite polyphonic synth. Anytime I power it up, it just puts forth inspiring sounds...warm, full analog tones. Super rare, these don't show up for sale too often. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own one of the greatest synths ever made.

I recently took this to a professional tech for a full $1000 restoration, including a full recap of all 18 cards & power supply, new batteries, cleaning up pots & keyboard keys, tuning & calibrating, etc. It's plays beautifully & fully functional.

Includes both keyboard & remote along with two connector cables.
I would prefer local transaction due to the size, but I would be open to shipping if the buyer understands the costs & risks involved. It will be super well packed, I already have an appropriate box ready to go for this. Payment preferred by bank transfer.

Price is $12,000

Skype demo available for serious buyers. Video demo will be posted when I have a chance."

Easel Both Mode Programming

Published on Oct 8, 2014 Todd Barton

"Here’s a little thought on programming the iProgram Card iPad App while the physical Easel’s Control switch is in “both” mode. Though I am a composer and definitely do not understand the circuitry of either the iCard or Easel that has not stopped me from exploring ways to make “both” mode useable, flexible and expressive. toddbarton.com"

Side note: Todd Barton will be performing with the Buchla Music Easel along with three others in Quadraphonic: Easels in Space Nov. 7 at Schneider Museum of Art.

Some info on the patch via Todd on Muff's:

"Here’s a little thought on programming the iProgram Card iPad App while the physical Easel’s Control switch is in “both” mode. Though I am a composer and definitely do not understand the circuitry of either the iCard or Easel that has not stopped me from exploring ways to make “both” mode useable, flexible and expressive.

I beginning with the most basic patch, i.e. the Basic Setup that comes with the app:

What I discovered is in order to have more options in “both” mode I need to change a few parameters in the app patch, namely taking the Mod Osc to “low” and the Mod switch to f.m.

This is a pretty good rule of thumb – for more options keep the switches and sliders in the app patch in their lowest position. Of course you’ll have to tailor this statement to your aesthetic.

Here are my changes to the above Basic Setup for use in “both” mode:

"I’m guessing the reverse process it possible, that is, taking a complex app patch and simplifying it in “both” mode – exploring what shorting bars, cables, slider positions and switches give you a useful “both” patch and “remote” patch. More on that another day. cheers! Todd"

NoodleFest Coming to Rotterdam, Netherlands Saturday 18th October

Videos from previous performances at the Noodlebar below.

"NoodleFest

The best of 2 years Noodlebar

On Saturday, October 18th Roodkapje will be marked by NoodleFest. On this particular evening a selection of artists who have played at Noodlebar in the past 2 years, will show their skills in two different rooms.

In 2012 Mono-Poly decided it was time for a monthly evening devoted to modular synthesizers. Luckily he found in BAR the place who were open to the more experimental side of music where he along with Falafelbiels put down the first night. In 2013 Noodlebar made the switch from BAR to Roodkapje where it got the space to grow to where it is today.
As the scene is so niche based, the name Noodlebar spread fairly quickly and there were plenty of artists who were only too eager to come and play. Foreign artists who happen to be in the neighborhood also added to the international allure.

Prepare for an exciting evening with a variety of electronic music. Deep drone sounds to danceable floor fillers. Or just the exciting improvisation sets by Falafelbiels. With headliners like Stefan Robbers and Zenn who will keep you on the dancefloor. Das Ding, who has been making music since the 80's, is now also involved with modular synths. Never failing to not disappoint with his deep and dark wave of danceable sounds. Soon he will release his new lp housed at the new Rotterdam label Electronic Emergencies.

We also welcome our newest member of Noodlebar Harry Plotter, an artist who shapes the sequences of a synthesizer and a plotter on paper.

The main key of Noodlebar remains that there is no computer involved.

Artiesten: Falafelbiels (Roffa), Das Ding (Roffa), Trap & Zoid (Belgium), Jenamu6 (Roffa), Zenn (Den Bass), Reptile (Utrecht), Zen.Se (Bruxhell), Osc1899 (Roffa), Ruistuin (Eindhoven), Kang (La Haya), Colloid (Delft), Boris Scorpio (Amsterdam), Harrold Proffessor Azzacove (La Haya), GERITZ / KAFFA (La Haya), Gries and friends (Tilburg), Rumatov (Tilburg), Sierra Romeo + Fraknoise (Eindhoven), Kami Kapnobatai (Roffa), Mono-Poly (Roffa), Harry Plotter (Roffa)

Where? Roodkapje Rotterdam

DSI Pro 2 Controlling Moogerfoogers

Published on Oct 8, 2014 experimentalsynth

"Using the Dave Smith Instruments Pro 2 Control Voltage outputs to control some Moog Moogerfooger effects pedals. The Ring Mod is being modulated by a step sequence and slow ramp wave added together. The Low Pass filter is being modulated by a different track in the step sequence. The analog delay is not being modulated. Everything is tempo synced including the Pro 2 arpeggio and the rhythm from Ableton.
