via the seller: "This unit comes to us from the original owner, it has been out of service since 1986! We had the unit completely gone through by one of LA's best synth techs. A few voltage processor slider modules were replaced along with their caps. Arp slider caps from another model were put on the slider stems. They are the only non-original parts on this fine machine. Also, the power light bulb is out. Otherwise, all was cleaned, tested and in excellent working condition. A very clean example of one of the best analog synths ever made!"

"The Holy Synth" has arrived! I purchased this vintage classic
from a wonderful musician friend of mine named Dwain Briggs.
Google him, his music is fantastic!
He was the original owner of this Juno-106 & bought it in 1984.
Around that time he sang at the North Hollywood Unity Church &
played this amazing synthesizer.
After hearing his magical voice paired with the awesome swelling
Analog pads of the Roland Juno-106, I was hooked on synthesizers from then on.
I always wondered what happened to his old Juno-106 & if he still had it.
I contacted him & was able to purchase that same Juno-106!
Yes, the one that started it all for me.
30 years later!
So I label it "The Holy Synth".
This synth has been modified by Allen at The Synth Spa

"I am currently preparing a liveset with BURG, set to June 13th here in Kuala Lumpur.. and while playing, in somewhere around the third variation for the set i make a really dreamy and epic sound on the microbrute using the strymon timeline ICE algorithm.. and this melody (totally unrelated to the BURG liveset) pops out of my head.. so i grab my zoom q4, point it on the microbrute and start recording.
Sorry for the crappy video quality, low light.. close upm weird angle etc, but all my other cams were not setup so i had to take what i had nearby.
I sort of sense this melody has a twin out there.. but what the heck, its my ode 2 the microbrute. Lovely little synth, dont you agree?
Gear used, Microbrute SE + Strymon timeline (if you hear any hiss sounds, thats all the other stuff turned on but didnt use/mind shutting off)
"First time interfacing the old super easel with 200e modules. I've never closely calibrated the 200's oscillators and discovered that it's scaled to 2.4V/octave. So it's not exactly compatible with the 1.2v/oct of the 200e system."
