Roland Boutique Series JP 08 synth quick sequence performance song, analog synthesizer jupiter
Published on Mar 3, 2016 Expanding Sound
"The Roland JP-08 is still fairly new, and quite fun. Does it sound as good as the original? Doubtful, but not every synth needs to have the presence of its analog father, as everything can have its place in the mix. This video was made to showcase some of its sequencing ability and sound sets. 2 quick sequences, followed by an impromptu lead. This synth is a lot of fun anywhere, thanks to its built in speaker and battery capability. We are fans of the boutique line, and wanted to show you some quick reasons why."

Minilogue House live jam Electribe Sampler, Volca, Streichfett "Get out of this house"
Published on Mar 3, 2016 Shimanski Beats
"Got to spend some more time with the Korg Minilogue and made this house live performance with the title "Get out of this house". The Minilogue plays a spacy chord complimented with some loose notes; the LFO-filter modulated sound is made from scratch. During the session the waveshape of both oscillators as well as their octaves are modulated. The sound gets some delay and reverb from the Lexicon MX 200.
Other instruments used:
Korg Electribe Sampler 2: Drums, vocal samples; sequencer for the other gear)
Korg Volca Bass: SQR bass (with TC Alter Ego X4 Vintage Echo)
Waldorf Streichfett: string pad (phaser and reverb: TC M350)
MB 33 Retro: acid-ish sequence in the background
Arturia Microbrute: lead sequence, played live
External effects: Lexicon MX200, TC Electronic M350, TC Electronic M One XL, TC Electronic Alter Ego X4 Vintage Echo, DBX 166xl"

Grendel DC-2e Drone Commander 2 - Eurorack (official)
Published on Mar 3, 2016 EA78751
"This video walks through getting started with the Grendel DC-2e Drone Commander 2, beginning with using the Main Module by itself (0:30).
Next, see how to control it from a MIDI keyboard, using the Expander module and a MIDI-CV converter (3:40).
A self-patch that gives additional filter modulation is demonstrated (5:35). After that, one of the MIDI-CV converter’s auxiliary CV outputs is patched in to control DC-2e’s LFO rate with the MIDI mod wheel (7:00).
The next section demonstrates VCF 1’s self-oscillation (8:35), including how to cancel the filter’s self-oscillation so only the dry tone of the VCOs is heard (9:50). Then, VCF 1 is set up as a third oscillator, creating a constant-pitched drone note to accompany melody played on the VCOs (10:50).
Last, some examples of pitch modulation using the MOD knob are shown (11:40), leading to full-on crazy town.

Semi Modular Patch Tweakin (Microbrute, Freqbox & MF Drive)
Published on Mar 2, 2016 HardtekStudios
"A basic, but powerful synth patch utilizing the Arturia Microbrute, and the Moog Freqbox and MF Drive. The audio output of the Microbrute (MB), is routed into the audio in of the Freqbox (FB) then out of the audio out of the FB and then into the audio input of the MF Drive (MFD). That signal is outputted into the Mackie Onyx mixer then into Logic for recording. The envelope out of the MB is going into the CV filter in of the MFD. The waveform CV out of the FB is being plugged in & out of the MB pitch in for FM effects. The MB mod wheel is controlling a square wave LFO routed to pitch for melody variation. I think thats it!"
