"Univox Mini-Korg 700 analog synthesizer- great cosmetic shape and appears to be fully-functioning. I've been going through this for the past few days and everything is very responsive and seems to be doing what it should. The only issue that I've noticed is that the volume pot is sometimes scratchy. This has been in my studio for the past fifteen or so years. I purchased it from Moogy Klingman, Todd Rundgren and Utopia's principal keyboard man throughout much of the seventies. Moogy began using a Mini-Korg on Utopia's second American tour in the spring of 1974 as an easier-to-use alternative to the Minimoog, and that became a mainstay of his live rig for the remainder of the seventies. It's not a particularly sturdy design (many that you see have broken keys, missing sliders, et cetera) and Moogy was somewhat rough on his live gear, so him and Todd purchased the one that I eventually acquired to use exclusively in their Secret Sound studio. This was his main synthesizer used on the recording of the album 'Todd Rundgren's Utopia,' and Moogy told me that he specifically recalled using it all over 'The Ikon' track. When Moogy sold his share in Secret Sound in the late-seventies, this was one of the few pieces of gear that he took with him."
"This is an Oberheim DXa drum machine. (The rare DX version with factory midi). Also included are 7 extra Eproms. Please read carefully so you know exactly what to expect.
The drum machine is in good condition and sounds great.
A couple of small issues - 3 of the small button plastic caps are missing (see photo) so basically they won’t make contact when pressed, however, I did find a solution for this as you’ll be able to see at the end of the video below. I will include the 'accessory' shown.
The original H.H plastic tuning knob in the back is missing. I put a screw instead and it works fine (see video).
Some of the small square buttons are ‘over sensitive’ and will double trigger as you might be able to see in the video. Never really bothered me too much. It’ll just take some cleaning if it'll bother you."
First video for the new 'EuroDoodle'-series. Basically its just me, patching away on my small eurorack system and turning some knobs. No demo character or what so ever.
