Eowave Ribbon hybrid expressive control demo

"A little demo and exercise for myself to help decide if a Roli Seaboard controller would be a good investment.

In this video I'm using both the midi and CV outputs from my Eowave Ribbon (Mk I) to expand the range of expressive control on offer. All the modulations here are manual.

Ribbon midi provides note, gate, pitchbend and CC1 which is routed to Braids Timbre input. Ribbon pressure CV is used to control the timbre of the Dual Oscillator.

So that's almost comparable to the 5 dimensions of control the Roli offers. Which means, for monophonic use at least, I can get by on what I've got.

So that's more cash for modules."

Folktek = Conduit Matter Resound & Resist

"A simple patch played live with four Folktek modules making something reminiscent of a 90's tune. All sounds from Folktek modules.

All beats by a simple 3 part Matter patch triggered by varigate4 with one part attenuated with Resist. Matter also sent into Conduit delay and filter.

Both clean and effected Matter sent to individual mixer channels.

All oscillations from Conduit with vactrols triggered by varigate4. Of the two oscillation paths; 1. two oscillations mixed on Resist, sent direct to mixer. 2. two oscillations mixed on Resist sent to Resound and then into a reverb with mix coming in and out.

Resound is the foundation of Conduit - a delay/filter without the added sections of Conduit. Conduit alone is capable of the same delay/filter."
