"If you're not familiar, this is a beast of a piece of gear. 3 CV-out, 3 GATE-out, 3 GATE-in, MIDI in and out and a TON of awesome realtime performance oriented functions. This unit is in MINT condition. I am the second owner and upon receiving this unit I was able to track down an updated EPROM for the latest OS. The newest, most current OS in installed, but I'll include the original EPROM and instructions just in case the existing EPROM would ever go bad or anything (see picture)."

"Up for auction is a 1981 Moog Source monophonic 2 oscillator analog synth with Encore Electronics MIDI retrofit kit installed. Synth is in very good condition, especially considering that it's 35 years old. There is a crack in the right wood panel that has been repaired, everything else including the front panel and membrane switches looks good and functions as expected. interior of the Source is clean with no PCB damage. Never gigged with, in a smoke free studio environment for the past 20 years."

Ginko Synthese SampleSlicer 12-Bit Eurorack Sampler Demo

"Video and Audio by G-Storm Electro c.2016

Demonstrating the Ginko Synthese SampleSlicer 12-Bit Eurorack Sampler. Yes 12-bit sampling, just like those old Akai S-900, S612 and MPC-60 samplers. I ordered it from Modular Addict and they shipped very quickly. This module required assembly and good soldering skills, and took me a couple of hours to build.

It uses an incoming clock to control sample recording and playback.

Recording: Control of sample length which controls how big or small the slices are. Input can be switched to audio or to record Control Voltages.

Playback: Realtime control of changes in sample length. Increasing length causes repeats, decreasing length chopped-off segments that run faster and can result in semi-granular type sounds. Also has realtime controls for pitch, start time, and length of the entire sample.

0:00 AUDIO sample of the DNA Symbiotic Waves Sequence.
1:00 CV sample of the DNA Symbiotic Waves Sequence.
1:34 AUDIO sample of DNA doing weird things
2:45 MIXING together the sample and modulating the original audio
3:57 AUDIO sample of acoustic guitar from iPod (signal boosted by mixer).

Great module for glitch. My iPod signal was pretty weak so it needed to be boosted by a mixer, it handled my other module signals like a champ. Also, maybe in future versions it could include reverse sampling."

Drone - Moog "The Source" and Buchla Music Easel

Published on May 25, 2016 100 Things I Do

"The start of a new track i'm working on. The drone starts with the Moog source, the Aurturia Mini-V provides an occasional pulse. The Buchla joins around 52 seconds in. The sonic interplay in the mix between the Moog and the Buchla is quite hypnotic. Best played on headphones or loudspeakers."

Chronium Synthesizer and Sequencer, Demo for the iPad

iTunes: Chronium - MN Signal Processing

"Chronium is a sequencer/synthesizer app for creating, recording, and sharing complex melodies simply by a few finger touches.

The main user interface consists of a fingerboard and a control bar. Touch the fingerboard to start, stop, or modify a voice. The horizontal axis of the fingerboard corresponds to different frequencies, similar to a guitar fingerboard. The vertical axis corresponds to different sounds and rhythm patterns which you can configure. When a voice is playing, the corresponding rhythm pattern is shown as a loop around the touch position, along with the red play cursor. On 3D Touch devices (for example iPhone 6S), the pressure applied to the fingerboard affects the sound by changing filter parameters or modulation depths. On other devices, the same parameters are controlled by an estimate of the surface touched by your finger.

The rhythm patterns are produced by thresholding a weighted sum of binary signals. The weights and thresholds can be set using sliders in the pattern editing interface. 7 basic binary signals are available with periodicities ranging from whole notes to sixty-fourth notes. 5 thresholds are used to determine the timing of the notes, the octave, and whether the notes should be accented or not. The weights and thresholds can be set for 3 different locations along the vertical axis of the fingerboard. Patterns in intermediate locations are obtained by interpolating the weights and thresholds.

Up to 7 different sounds can be placed on the fingerboard and sounds in intermediate locations are obtained by morphing between the two nearest sounds. For this app, an advanced virtual analog sound synthesis engine was developed to enable morphing between classic analog and FM synth sounds.

On devices with an A7 processor or higher (iPhone 5S or higher, iPad Air or higher, iPod Touch 6th Gen or higher), you can record what you are playing as a video and share it on social media, via email, or to the device's camera roll.

What's New in Version 1.1
With version 1.1 you can share your Chronium performance as a video to social networks, by email, or to your camera roll."
