Rephazer -Twilight is Falling (Octatrack, A4, OP-1, vPed)
Published on Jul 27, 2016 Rephazer
"Hello dear subscribers and visitors,
Here is a track I've made inspired by this very odd, vague and macabre animation movie called 'Twilight is Falling' which is created by Greg Elmensdorp so all credits regarding the used bits of animation in this video goes to him.
The video that belongs to the audio performance was faulty unfortunately.. so all other video is taken from various 'live jam takes' while creating and recording the track.
Technical details for the ones interested:
OP-1 is used for creating and arranging the song and is also the sound source for recording 'otherworldly sounds' to tape.
Octatrack is used for midi sequencing, classical violin and additional drums.
Analog Four is used for atmospheric sounds with lots of reverb
vPed is used for the bassline (Mono/Fury)
Reel-to-reel tape machine is used for playing 'other worldly radio sounds' recorded from the OP-1 on lowest (quality) speed.
I hope you like it and if you do.. please feel free to like, share, comment and subscribe!
Cheers."

Politica Machina - Vers 2

"Using the newer XC18 module for bass synth with filter. The desk top modules supplemented by patches from the rack mount stuff. All tones generated using neon based oscillators except kick and snare. Bass line was manually swept in sync with cv/gate and drums coming from a laptop. Each overdub was an improvisation with a new patch. This seems a good sampler of the many sounds which can be derived using these neon based tone generators, both musical and/or discordant as the mood strikes."

1. A Demonstration Of Oskar Sala's Mixtur-Trautonium Formant Filters
A demonstration of the mixtur-trautonium's formant filters. The filter was originally designed by Freidrich Trautwein as vacuum tube (or rohrentechnik) technology in 1930, at the very beginnings of subtractive synthesis.( I mistakenly referred to subharmonic synthesis in my closing remarks) The filters here are version of the design from the halbeiter, or semiconductor mixtur trautonium dating from around 1989 and were made by Trautoniks.
