RK-002 with Roland M182 Style Sequencer DUY firmware

Published on May 8, 2018 Retrokits

"With the new /DUY firmwares on the RK-002 you can program custom MIDI implementations to do all kinds of cool stuff, not just remap controllers for example...

In this demo we show a Roland System-100 type sequencer emulation (M182 module) which is controlled by a simple MIDI controller. The /DUY is tailored for the Korg NanoKontrol2.

This controller is a USB-MIDI only device and is hosted by our RK-005 (Our standalone USB Host/USB MIDI client interface which will be released soon)."

THOR Wins MODEL D minimoog app Clone Wars? │ What is going on? - haQ attaQ vlog

Published on May 8, 2018 Jakob Haq

Funny intro. Comparison video below. Skip to it if you want to give it a go first.

"Does Propellerhead Thor sound more MOOG than MOOG Model D? Recently I published a video in where I was comparing Arturia's iMiNi, a minimoog emulation clone app to Model D which is MOOG's own minimoog emulation app. Before starting the comparison I asked viewers to take part in a poll and see if they could spot a Moog from a non-moog. That tests included Propellerheads Thor as a non-moog-clone reference. Well, votes has been counted and seems like Thor was the most Moog out of them all...well at least most of us thought so before the actual comparisons started...so maybe Im being a tad hyperbolic?

Moog Model D is a synthesizer app that emulates the Minimoog. It's available for both iPad and iPhone with audio extension unit support ( AUv3 )."

MOOG Model D app vs ARTURIA iMini │ Can you hear it? - haQ attaQ 281

Published on Apr 12, 2018 Jakob Haq

"Does the Arturia iMini Minimoog clone sound like Moog Model D? Do you think you can spot the difference in sound? Well, I made my Oscilloscope work hard for this one and so all you have to do now is look, listen and judge. I even threw in Propellerhead Thor into the mix as base of reference sine it's not trying to be a minimoog clone. Get ready for some oscilloscope madness."
