"Versatile producer I.W¥N is half of the Glam-Rap duo ANML BHVR with his fraternal twin and business partner Lex Plow, and releases solo material as HOT JOY. Descendent of a musical bloodline, I.W¥N is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in piano, synthesizers and guitar, who earned a B.A. in music composition, has produced music in genres spanning from ambient film scoring to hardcore hip-hop, and knows the secret is in the sound.

"So, last night I was messing around in imitation of the celeste. I thought to myself, 'why not just do a celeste piece?'. Sight-read through the work twice then play it from memory.

This recording is my first attempt at playing from memory after two sight-reads. Of course, if actually giving a serious performance to an audience, I'd play the work a few times more/work on timing etc. And hold the 2-bar rests for their full value :)) I didn't bother in this take as it sounds quite empty at those points when played as a solo work.

"The Koma Field Kit & Field Kit FX are a fun set of tools and effects for electro-acoustic music including contact mic pre-amps, mixers, frequency shifter, delay and spring reverb, voltage controlled radio and a few other handy utilities. We used a circuit bent hard drive from Gieskes, a giant wrench instrument and Jesse Dean scratch fader with the Field Kits.
