StrumPad MIDI controller

"Hold a chord on a MIDI keyboard with one hand and strum that chord on the StrumPad. This controller is based on an Atmel Atmega328P microcontroller programmed with Arduino code. The project is open source and the files are posted on; https://hackaday.io/project/9465-stru..."

"So this device has MIDI in and MIDI out. It is based on Arduino ATMEGA328. It receives MIDI IN messages like note on and note off from a MIDI keyboard controller and loads the data to 6 touch sensors. When the player 'strums' the StrumPad, it senses which 'strings' have been struck and how much force was exerted on the Strumpad by measuring the piezo voltage that is underneath the Strumpad. It then sends MIDI OUT messages like note on and note off."

"This is my first patch with the system.

I haven't even really touched the shuttle control yet as I figured learning the modules would be important before deciding how I want to control them. I set out to do an "easel" style patch like this, however while wiggling I morphed it into this crazy ambient thing that I like a lot more. I just wanted to post this video as well since it can show the crazy range of the furthrrr generator. With only one evenings worth of wiggling, I can easily say this is my favourite oscillator I've touched in euro.

It has characteristics of the easel but just seems to be more musical and less quirky than the Buchla, and I'm a fan of both.

I had a lot of questions, a lot of concerns, and a lot of doubts about this system but its one of the few instruments I've purchased that just exceeded my expectations in pretty much every category. It's simple but deep, the oscillators sound amazing, grand terminal is super flexible and also sounds great no matter how digital it is! And the build trumps anything I've touched in euro as well. SOOOOOO solid.

Shout out to Nick Haisch & Complex Waveform as their videos are absolutely what sold me on the sound and possibilities of this unit. I look forward to more from you guys :)"

"Analogue Solutions Vostok V2 white with white knobs. I got these white knobs from Tom Carpenter after seeing the white knobs on the Telemetry. I am also including a bag of the original black knobs as well as extra white knobs. Also included are 8 shorting pins and 9 resistor pins. Some of the pins have bite marks because once, my cat decided to have a go at patching. All pins work fine, though. The only cosmetic blemish is a spot where the paint is chipped on the upper left as shown in one of the pictures."
