NOZOÏD NOZORI 68 : KARPLUS STRONG EURORACK MODULE

via NOZOID

"Swap faces, enjoy a new module!
A single piece of paper can be folded into innumerable shapes. In the same way, a single Nozori hardware can morph into multiple modules. Changing functionality is as simple as changing jumpers position!

Nozori concept consist of sharing the same hardware around multiple module. This hardware is based on a powerful digital core to allow huge versatility. Potentiometers, inputs or outputs can adapt to many module design. From basic analogue modules emulation like VCO, VCF or LFO to outstanding functionality never seen before, you will find lot’s of use for your Nozori module in your rack.

You only need to change jumpers position to enjoy any of the pre-programmed module.

Optional frontplate are available to remark control parameters of a specific module."

Motion FM Synthesizer

Note the following is translated via Google Translate. You can find the original Japanese further below.

"Now, popular microcontroller board 'micro: bit'.

By combining this with YAMAHA 's sound board "YMF 825", I found that it is possible to build very creative sounds using the Python language.

The sound is controlled in real time only with the acceleration sensor of the microcomputer board. The point to be aware of is that the YMF 825 is driven by the SPI signal, not the MIDI sound chip. It is control to write parameters (frequency, algorithm, degree of modulation ...) of the FM synthesizer to the registers to the last. In order to control with MIDI signals, you need a driver to convert from MIDI to SPI, but fortunately the sample program has been published, in which the program corresponding to the driver was included.

Deep House on Vintage 80's Yamahas - Yamaha PSS580, PSS380, DD-10

Published on Sep 2, 2018 ChrisLody

"Had fun this afternoon rigging up a few old timers and making a bit of old school deep house, dawless style.

The DD-10 provides the drums with it's 2 programmable patterns, the PSS-580 provides the FM bass and organ sounds programmed into it's basic pattern sequencer and the PSS-380 provides the FM string sound. No external effects here, I like a nice dry house sound!"

Vintage Synths: Sounds of the K1m

"I don't bring in the K1m during my my jams much, but felt it still needed a bit of screen time, so check out the interesting, FM like but not, sound of the Kawai K1m."

Let them play together - homemade analog modular synthesizers jam

Published on Sep 2, 2018 Sbranvlztronics

"The black modules (left) are the Arduino Clock Divider Logic thing and Arduino CV Quantizer top right is the MSB Modular Synth B. bottom right the Matrix II. The patch uses 8 LFOs, 4 VCOs, 5 ADSRs, 3 VCFs,6 VCAs, 1 VCDelay, 1 S&H. The CV Quantizer receives CV from 2 LFOs and send 1 volt per octave CV to VCOs and VCFs, the Clock Divider Logic thing is responsible for all gates (using 7 of the 8 logic outputs), its tempo is being controlled by CV coming from a Sample and Hold output."

Treadstone-Analogue Solutions & Arturia-Drumbrute Impact simple Jam

Published on Sep 2, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Hi Guys.
I have a brand new movie with the Treadstone from Analogue Solutions and Drum synthesizer-DrumBrute Impact from Arturia.
Treadstone is a full analog voice monophonic synthesizer-you know.
it's small, but it's really a hard thing with the possibility of patching into a modular system, it also has a built-in echo and a 16-step loop sequencer.
here I also added his echo which causes a small delay of sound.
DrumBrute Impact is the newest Arturia baby and I used it because it suits my electro modes very much.
It is compact, smaller than the first Drumbrute, it seems but it is great. It has 4 individual out, 10 eleastic sounds including one FM Drum sound. of course, great in live, the whole sequencer from drumbrute taken and additionally on the Distortion total.
Check the small demo as it came when both devices are playing."
