"I've been having a lot of fun lately trying out different psy processes on the eurorack modular synth! Here's my latest jam. Some 142bpm stuff. Hope you enjoy! I went a little more minimal with the grid on this one and went a little more wild with the noodling on the delay and feedback.

Some patch notes:
- Bassdrum: Mutant BD9 - http://www.hexinverter.net/mutant-bd9
- Bass is a simple sawtooth with some phase adjustment which is phase locked using hard oscillator sync. The punch/attack is due to overdriving the Red Dragon's analog filter core - it really bites in this way! http://www.hexinverter.net/red-dragon
- Mutant Hihats are providing both open and closed hihats
- Everything is sequenced from a Digitakt over MIDI, through the Mutant Brain! http://www.hexinverter.net/mutant-brain"

"Another demo of modules from Erica Synths this time is Pico QUANT-Quantizer and Pico CV Mix , both of them despite being small because only 3HP, it raises your system to a new level. Above all, Quant allows you to load various scales through up to 8 slots via mobile applications so you can always move between 8 scales in one module, which results in developing melodies for new long sequences. also lets you skip the notes using tolerance and in real time bypasses the notes, which also repeatedly melts your melodies even during improvisation.

Pico CV MIX is the ability to connect 3 CVs of modulation sources to one module and mix them together in different ways for complex modulation, now imagine these possibilities, I gave you some of them in this video with the sound from Pico VOICE with reverb from Black Hole DSP also from Erica Synths."

For my next installment I wanted to do something a bit more minimalist, and it doesn't get much more minimalist than Robert McNaughton's score for Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer.

McNaughton's score was done with a pretty basic setup

Roland Juno 106
Korg Polysix
Ensoniq Mirage Sampler

It's very percussion oriented with blasts of discordant synth stabs and off sounding arpeggiated metallic samples.

Instruments Used
Sequential Prophet-X Sampler (Heavy percussion hits, piano, whispering and screams)

Sequential Prophet-6 (A simple drone with a Phaser on it)
