Live Jam #29 Dark Ambient (Yamaha A3000, PO-24 office)
Published on Nov 12, 2018 Christian's Sonic Spaces
"Well, since a while I had the idea to use my good old Yamaha A3000 as a drone-box, loop station, sound-mangler unit. It has a lot of cool features and should be simply great for that.
This is the second song project using this idea.
First, I sampled three different sounds into the A3000 based on old vinyl recordings. I used for that some of the cool effects the sampler has. The loops all had different length and I didn't care much about perfect looping. This results in a ever evolving soundscape.
When set each sample to loop-mode and the AEG release value to zero, just a single press on the keyboard (in this case the Arturia Beatstep Pro) is enough to let it play forever. Each sample gets his own filter and all cutoffs and levels get their own individual CC controler number. So I can control all of them with the knobs of the Beatstep Pro.
One could also assign for each of the sample an individual out. Maybe next time. For this session I just used the main stereo out which went through a Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe and a GFI System Specular Reverb 2.
In addition I used a Teenage Engineer PO-24 office, which runs through a MWFX Judder, a TC Electronic T2 and a Pigtronix Quantum. Some random stuff I added using a recording with the Ammoon Stereo Looper at half speed and reverse mode.
The signals finally go via a small Behringer mixer straight into the pc. The song was then mastered with just a bit compression and limiting."

nonlinearcircuits bad digital filter simulator proto-type 1
Published on Nov 12, 2018 cirtcele
"Various snippets from testing and honing this circuit over the past few weeks. As the name describes, it is an analogue circuit designed to simulate a digital filter - badly. It is not capacitor based but uses shift registers and feedback to do its thing. More info and the module coming soon."

Published on Nov 12, 2018 Olivier Ozoux
"Paola and I went shopping last weekend, and she got me the Techno Sounds Kit, so of course, I tried to use the electro-dough (what an awesome name) to make some actual techno with it. it was a complete fail... except for the parts where the Synthstrom Deluge save the day!"
Making a song using only the Moog Grandmother synth
Published on Nov 12, 2018 once upon a synth
"I decided to do a challenge where I make a song using only one synth (Moog Grandmother in this case). I have to use it for drums, basses, leads, pads, etc. I added some vocals at the end, but that's the only thing that isn't from the Grandmother. Stay tuned til the end to hear the final song."

"Autechre quietly uploaded the sysex files from their Monomachine and Machinedrum, as used in the 2008 Quaristice tour. This is the Monomachine part, just going through all of the patterns and meandering here and there to mute/unmute parts. Interesting stuff!
You can find a link to the sysex files here:
