Behringer Buys Tears for Fears Synths for R&D - A Peek at What's To Come?

The Yamaha DX1. Only 140 units were ever made and when the product was launched in 1982, the price of the synth was a staggering US$ 14,000."

"Here's a vintage Memorymoog synthesizer in really nice condition that seems to be working well. All 6 voices autotune from a cold start (see video). Battery has been changed and factory patches loaded. Factory patches sound good (see video). This has not been serviced or calibrated by me and I haven't tested every single feature or verified that each of the 18 oscillators is perfectly in tune, but from my time with it, it seems to work and sound quite good. Good enough that I decided it would be best not to mess with it. That being said, I don't guarantee that it is perfect. This synthesizer is being sold as is, with no returns. "Casio VL-1 and μClouds. Not a function demo, I was just playing around with a musical idea, and decided to record and share it in case anyone was interested. The delay and the reverb are both coming from Clouds, so it's just VL-1-Clouds-audio interface, no additional effects.

X1L3 - DDX - circuit bent yamaha DD8 drum machine

"Intricate circuit bending and a midi retrofit of a Yamaha DD8 drum machine. Where to get and all about below.

Dwelling in melancholy and wearing the influence on both sleeves (NIN - the fragile)......

Midi trigs coming in from the DAW and CV for pitch and filter cutoff coming in from a yarns midi to cv moduile in the euro rig which is also slaved to the DAW.

The whole set is utilising the 'ruiner' section of the machine. This is a kind of sweepable octave fuzz which at zero gate acts as a really cool grind and distortion and when gate is opened - as in the start of the session - a weird sweepable ringmod/fuzz kind of effect.

Midi is mapped to the four pads and also the eight points on the glitch array, so real time automation of glithing is possible within patters composed on the machine.

Sycopated echo is generated by the delay in the DD which can also be used to misbehave as a circuit bent delay pedal would when the feedback and filtering are untethered.

Harmonic Additive Synthesis Demo with Sequencing on the Percussa mSSP

"Patch consists of 12 oscillators, 3 envelope generators, 4 bus modules, a step sequencer and reverb module. The oscillators output sine, saw, square and triangle simultaneously but we only use the sine wave outputs in this demo. The envelopes control the amplitude of the 12 oscillators (3x4) and are triggered by the step sequencer. Pitch of the oscillators is also driven by the step sequencer. The oscillators are set to various harmonic and inharmonic ratios through the demo. Additionally we use the detuning feature on some of the oscillators and edit the step sequence throughout the demo. Sound of the sine oscillators is summed using the bus modules and fed through the reverb module before it goes to the master output. All sound synthesized on the mSSP and recorded on the big SSP and synced to video afterwards.
