"Shown at Superbooth for the first time, the SKULPT puts a lot of synth power into a small box and provides four true polyphonic voices of synthesis with sound creation features.

Also launched was the CRAFTsynth 2.0 which offers some 40 waveforms to choose from, and with the ability to select and morph between the waveforms in a bank. It includes eight oscillator banks covering Virtual Analogue, Digital and Generative waves.

"We take a look at the volca nubass, Korg's first analog synth to be equipped with a Nutube new-generation vacuum tube in its oscillator. Vacuum tube plus analog means that the sound is warm, thick, and rich. The nubass is also equipped with a 16-step sequencer for great acid bass lines.

"Minilogue xd gets an update with the addition of the Poly Chain feature to link units together to achieve 8-voice polyphony.

Minilogue xd module is the new desktop module version of Minilogue xd, the four-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer with a customisable digital multi-engine and built-in stereo digital effects.
The Voice structure of Minilogue xd is 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, and 1LFO and it also features a 16-step sequencer that supports both realtime and step recording.
Both the xd and xdm can now use the Poly Chain feature to link units together to achieve 8-voice polyphony.

"A quick jam playing the type of music I performed in my youth - back to my techno / rave / aceeed roots tonight. I hadn't used the 303 in a while and all the cool patterns I had made the last time were of course gone - I programmed a few new ones quickly and hit the stride towards the end of the jam :D Better prepared next time! :D"

"Analog is great! But digital has its place and it's even better with an analog filter and hands-on controls. Unlike most digital synths, this one has a serious quirkiness and unpredictable nature to it. Even the 'keys' are obviously a different experience. The mod matrix is a cool touch and this does a lot given the price - worth checking out if you want this flavor in your arsenal. Could they have given a different name?? DigiBrute, maybe?"
