"Korg SQ-10 triggering a Korg MS-50"

via this auction

"Legendary Korg SQ-10 3 channel analog sequencer. Perfect combo with MS-10, MS-20 and MS-50 as well as any analog synth have CV/Gate in. Channel A & B has switchable for +/- 1V and +/- 5V, Channel C is 0V-5V.

The unit is working but cosmetically poor with some rust with this grand father of portable analog sequencer."

Moog Matriarch - Paraphonic Pad Fun

Published on Sep 14, 2019 Expanding Sound

"This was a request from a couple of fellow youtubers. My first Matriarch exploration video was mostly in Monophonic mode, not for any particular reason other than I was having fun. A couple people asked me to do some work in paraphonic mode to show some chords and pads on the Matriarch. I was happy to oblige!
Theres something to be said about an inspiring instrument. I can really see the draw towards modular setups after playing with the Matriarch the last few days. You never want to stop manipulating the tone. The possibilities feel exciting, and endless. One more patch here, one more tweak there.
This video is based off very simple chord progressions, for the first couple minutes just a 4 to a 5 chord in E, having fun with the sound. Although I do change the oscillator waveforms in the video, I change them uniformly. My Crumar Stratus has a mode that allows you to seesaw oscillator waveform (between Square and Sawtooth, I think) with every keystroke. Although I love my Stratus, I always thought that feature sounded dumb. With the Matriarch I was more concerned with making it sound pleasant to my ears. And it does. Hopefully you enjoy it, and it shines some light onto some nice warm pad sounds you can make with this beautiful synth."

This one was spotted and sent in via M Me. You can find the full post that accompanies this pic on Syntovo here.

Note this is the first post to feature the Syrinx 716.  Reminded me of slimmed down PPG 1002.

See the Synth Horse label for more synths and horses.

Hordijk Feedback Patch

Published on Sep 14, 2019 Todd Barton

"Just wanted to explore a simple feedback patch on the Hordijk based on my favorite Rastko Lazic feedback patch for the Serge system: [video posted here] Eventually my little Hordijk patch turned into a version of Rob Hordijk's famous Blippoo Box :-)

A C I D // AE Modular Synth // Electribe 2 Sampler #TTNM

Published on Sep 14, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Finally spent some time with my Korg Electribe 2 Sampler. More info below :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

Of course I removed all stock samples and sequences from the Electribe 2 Sampler immediately, with the help this awesome blank pattern preset file:
https://innerportalstudio.com/electri...

Then I downloaded this sweet sample manager software:
http://appification.de/ElectribeSampl...

... and loaded a bunch of tangible waves AE Modular synth samples onto the device. So everything you hear in this video are sounds from the AE Modular, either sampled and played by the Electribe or live from the AE Modular synth rack, which is synced to the Electribe's clock via the handy analog sync output.

The Acid (I guess?!) melody sequence is played by the SEQ16 module and the sound is a basic VCO sawtooth wave through the NYLE filter, which is modulated not only by a decay envelope, but also occasionally by the VCO's square wave utilising the filter's CV2 input.

I'm just getting used to the whole groovebox thing again after neglecting them for years, but I'm having tons of fun with the Electribe 2 Sampler. It's very live friendly indeed."
